Btw, even strict British gun controls allow for the private ownership of a shotgun. Strangely most Britons don't own one - why do you suppose that is ?

Cash is becoming increasingly scarce today.

And customers, if a bank clerk initiated a gun fight and a customer (or another employee) was shot, the bank would be open to a law suit.

Maybe. Also maybe they intend to kill a family after they rob them? Or maybe if they saw a pretty daughter, they might want to rape her while parents watch. Who knows. Always assume the worst.

Why hang around for the cops ?


Do you have any stats on the number of murders/rapes committed during a home invasion/burglary ?


If an armed intruder breaks into your house you're safer not fighting back. For this reason banks order tellers not to resist bank robbers.

Oh lawsuits. I didn't think about predatory law firms and their lawsuits. I guess that's why banks have insurance.
