You were wrong: It ***is*** illegal to own a gun with no serial number in California - which embarrassingly is your HOME state
You cannot own a gun in any state where the serial number has been intentionally removed

So no, your blanket statement that it's not illegal to own a gun with no serial number (period and with no caveat) is wrong.
And I'd also previously told you that it was legal to own a pre-1968 gun that might've been legally made with no serial number, yet you continue your blanket statement.


You made an argument over the origin of the word "gendarme" too

If someone was trying to kill me, well I suppose any help is appreciated and the additional risk of being hit in the crossfire is a moot point. Though if not under direct attack, they're exposing themselves to one.

So if a mass shooter turns his AR-15 on a diner I'm in and you're making a bread delivery, by all mean pull out your Colt .45 and draw away his fire.

Yeah he'll drop his gun after he blows out his brainpan. Which he will probably immediately do after slaughtering a couple dozen unarmed people who just wanted a hamburger.

Do you agree someone's car should be confiscated/seized before he has a chance to mow down a toddler outside the local daycare?

Of course, I know your answer in the case of guns is that you confiscate/seize all of them and-though everyone has to suffer in the meanwhile-somehow, someday the lawless and the madmen won't have them either.

I also know you won't be consistent and apply that to cars. You even balk at a little common sense regulation when it comes to that.

But yes when people lose arguments sometimes they want to shut down all discussion. Case in point tech censorship
