Another Good Guy with a Gun...

No, you wish to play the Fledermaus game of accusations of goal posts and intentional ignorance.

You are quick to make such accusations, it seems you are less ready to have them made.

I point them out. I back them up.

Don't want to be called on it? Don't do it.

Don't want to be called on it? Don't do it.

That's the last thing you do.

You end up making a short comment, usually in the form of an insult in lieu of a substantiated argument.

Yet, as show numerous times here and elsewhere, the “gun deaths” meme is part of the “Big Lie” by anti-Second Amendment advocates. Banning ARS and high capacity magazines will not reduce a single gun suicide much less the other 22,000+ Non-gun US suicides annually.

So why do you push gun control over better mental health care? Do you really care about saving lives or not?

I don't push one over the other. Some restrictions on guns, funding mental health programs both sound like good ideas.

Here's my point: 1- Trump minimizes the problem with too many guns in the hands of the unstable. 2- Suggests funding mental health programs. 3- Trump cuts mental health programs. 1 plus 2 plus 3 =Hypocrisy

1 - Screw Trump, he’s a ****ing moron and a populist.

2- Gun banners always suggest banning or “controlling” guns first and mental health care as an afterthought. Obama did it with his 2013 gun control bill. He only added mental health care after the first bill didn’t pass.

3- Again, **** Trump. Obama was President for 8 years. When did he ever push for better mental health care above gun control? Short answer: NEVER. Clinton? NEVER. It’s always guns bans first with you guys. Why?

why not plenty of both?

it does not have to be a binary choice

So, it turns out the guy in Pensacola was a "good Saudi" with a gun, which begs the question. Was training Muslim Jihadists at our Navy bases one of Trump's pay to play schemes?

no matter what the issue-its blame Trump again

We should create a Forum Award for the first poster who breaks the Trump barrier in non-Trump related threads. Kinda like the Ass-hat award.

Well, after today, we won't even be able to talk about plumbing without bringing him up. Who flushes their toilet 10 to 15 times?

I was training Saudi and Kuwaiti (along with Italian, Norwegian, German and Spanish) pilots in 1989 and later. I doubt our alliances changed even after 9/11. That was at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL. About 30 minutes away is the main base, NAS Pensacola where all the aviation ground school is taught along with several enlisted training facilities. I strongly doubt this has anything to do with who is or was President and a lot more to do with Saudi internal politics.

That's fine, I wish the SC adopted the same definition and only allowed guns to be privately armed by official members of the militia.

When the exercising of rights depends on membership in the government, we've lost our rights.

When to be a journalist, one must register and work with the government. When to defend oneself, one must be wearing a government uniform. Then we have failed the globe. Then our ideals are no more. Then we embrace tyranny.

It’s weird to say the least. We have to jump through at least 50 hoops just to gain access to a machine at a defense contractor, ironically one owned by the Brits. And only two of our guys have the “clearance” to step foot on our local AFB. But, here they are just flying in any old band of Saudi Nationals, and giving them access like that? Wtf?

Again, you are vilifying an object when the problem is the person, not the object. If I put an AR-15 on a chair without a person near it doesn't shoot anyone. If I put a car in the garage, with no person it doesn't kill anyone. Should we lock up all objects that people can use to kill?

No, we're vilifying stupid people who shouldn't have such weaponry, but the only reason that they do is - because it's available.

Taking away Constitutional rights of hundreds of millions of Americans will never eliminate the random tragic accident people will always face in life.

Except it wasn't a 'random tragic accident'.... willful negligence or perhaps manslaughter but not a random accident.....

Do you accidentally insert a mag in an AR style weapon??? Do you accidentally charge the weapon by pulling back on the charging handle once the mag is in the weapon???

Do you accidentally put that loaded weapon in the backseat of a car?

No that's not random or an accident.... :doh

Once again, all this blather about someone taking away someone's Constitutional rights is about the same as claiming someone is taking away Christmas... :peace

No. All are Saudi Naval officers. Not just “any old band of Saudi Nationals”. FWIW, as I’ve noted elswhere, especially in race threads, the biggest difference between groups of human beings isn’t skin tone or genetics since we’re all over 99.5% genetically identical. The biggest difference is culture.

Of the students I trained the worst were the Saudis and Italians. The best were the Norwegians and the Spanish. I only trained a few Germans and Kuwaitis. They were good, but too few to get a real feel. IMO, if we ever go to war with the Saudis, it’ll go as fast as our war with the Iraqis; over in a matter of days.

Saudis are the driving force behind Wahhabism, a radical form of Isalam which is 100% Sunni and Saudi. So, I don't really care if they are officers or not. They truly are "any old band of Saudis" because they are not weeding out those who follow the state religion.

Racism is bad, but Liberal Racism is the worst. Racism is expected from the US conservatives, but not from Liberals.

The only good thing is that you seem to hate Christians with equal vigor. Still not right since all hate is wrong.

Religious nutjobs (zealots, if you prefer), are the most dangerous people on earth since they form mobs for "god." So, yeah. Color me a hater of those who use self-righteous excuses to murder people or strip them of their civil rights.

Nutjobs, yes, but you consider everyone who is religious to be a nutjob. That’s 5.8 Billion people. What is your plan to eliminate them all?

You’ve colored yourself with dozens of anti-religion posts.

The Global Religious Landscape | Pew Research Center
Worldwide, more than eight-in-ten people identify with a religious group. A comprehensive demographic study of more than 230 countries and territories conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life estimates that there are 5.8 billion religiously affiliated adults and children around the globe, representing 84% of the 2010 world population of 6.9 billion.
