Gun in Home Kills Loved ones and Owner

It doesn't take much stretch of the imagination to know that jumping in front of a train going 80mph will kill you just as easily as shooting yourself.

lol....funny how no one does that in the US, but 20,000 people shoot themselves each year.

A ban, so Paddock couldn't obtain guns ?

It wouldn't matter what kind of bans there are in place, it wouldn't stop Paddock. For one thing Paddock had money and lots of it. When you're a multimillionaire you get what you want legal or illegal. No matter how strict the gun laws are when you've got that kind of money you get guns if you want them. Paddock was also very smart. A psychopath but very smart. He had an airplane and a pilot's license. His killing spree was not spur on the moment, it was well planned and well thought out way in advance. No amount of gun laws and no amount of bans would've stopped Paddock.

First of all, show me statistics that say nobody in the USA kills themselves by jumping in front of trains. FYI it happened with a train that I was a passenger on.

Second of all, even if its not that common a method of suicide in the USA it would be if guns were harder to get.

Constitutional rights change over time, that's the beauty of having a living constitution.

the best way to kill the constitution is to engage in the idiocy that it is a "living document"

the left claims that because most of the crap they want to pretend the constitution allows, is so bad that the states would never agree to an amendment, so the left banks on dishonest judges to change the meaning and the intent

The Constitution can be amended.

exactly-but FDR and his scumbag supporters knew they couldn't do that, so their judges pretended that the constitution allowed congress and the federal government all sorts of powers that the government was never intended to have

Money, plane of course he couldn't obtain them.

with his money, his plane, and his three years or more of planning this massacre, I am shocked he didn't get a LMG or two or a mini-gun and assemble them in that hotel room. two belt fed thirty calibers with 500 round belts could have been emptied in well under the 10 minutes he fired and would have killed far more. An Aerotech mini gun at 4000 rounds a minute and a five hundred round load of ammo or a Hughes Chain gun running 2000 rounds a minute would have been even worse.

Huh. I thought it was the shot that killed the Archduke Ferdinand.

Yep... there are a lot of shots going on that are changing the world

Can you really not keep your replies to one post ?

And no, not always:

Don't you ever get tired of embarrassing yourself by posting without thinking or doing a basic fact check ?

Then how come the UK or other countries with similar gun control don't have their own "Paddocks"
Or do you claim the USA has a monopoly of psychopaths ?

Maybe because the guns you are shocked by their absence are banned.

Does that contradict your 30 years experience in prosecution which is why you're so shocked ?

Gun kills people, huh? All by itself?

Odd. None of mine have ever jumped up and started shooting all on their own.

you obviously haven't said the right magic spells or performed the proper incantations. Maybe you bought a bunch of defective ones that actually need your help to fire?

machine guns can be bought legally or illegally in many places. Someone with 10 million dollars and a couple airplanes and a pilot's license can easily find one. There are 30 caliber machine guns available for legal sale in the USA to private citizens.

Got that right. It's probably sheer luck he didn't have an M-249. And it could have been brought in easier then all the supposed rifles.

Notice how they point to the 21st amendment repealing the 18th? That's their logic. They don't understand hands off off the first ten.

I will give credit to the gun banners who want to repeal the second, because at least they are honest enough to admit that their bannerrhoid schemes are prevented by that bill of right. The real dishonest ones are the ones who pretend that the second amendment allows the government to ban all sorts of firearms or only allows firearms for those in the National Guard-or other similar nonsense

Before seeing this post I what if'd a M249.

Not if they're banned they can't be bought.

Not if they're banned they can't be bought.

Well that is a big leap of faith. Hey, if heroin is banned and cannot be bought, we wouldn't have overdoses. But it is banned and hundreds of thousands of people buy it in areas where it is banned on a daily basis.

More faith based nonsense from you.

All kinds of guns in Central America. You know Nicaragua, Honduras. No shortage.

His posts suggest he has become mastered by his own mythology. The faith based idiocy that if the government bans it-people cannot obtain it. What is reality is that when the government bans firearms, the people MOST likely to obey such laws are the ones who have a proven track record of least likely harming others. While those who have a history of harming others, are not deterred at all.

His claims are bitch slapped by 100+ years of history in the USA, starting with prohibition and then the war on drugs, the Chicago and DC handgun bans and the bans on kiddie porn
