Defensive Gun Use estimates range from 1 million a year to as many as 2.5 depending on analysis. But for the sake of argument I always use the anti=gun perspoective. Not just home invasion but all manner of defensive gun uses. Conservative estimates by anti gun groups...place the number at 235,700 times a year.

Thats not on the level of Alien visitations...especially considering there are some 1.6 million violent crimes committed every year.

And when it is YOUR house...or someone that you care about being attacked...who will you call?

How do other countries without guns manage?...there must be campaigns across the globe to allow gun ownership - except there isn't


I don't believe for a moment that there's a defensive need for guns.
Even strict British gun laws allow for shotgun and occasionally for rifles and hand guns longer than a certain length - won't they save you from the home invader ?

more dishonesty-because the purpose of a defensive firearm is to keep its user from being harmed. If that involves the killing of the attacker so be it-but merely causing the attacker to flee protects the owner just as surely as shooting the attacker.
