Philadelphia shooting: 10-year-old boy shot in head while walking home from school - CNN


A 10-year-old boy walking home from school in Philadelphia was critically injured Wednesday when he was shot in the back of the head by a stray bullet...

The shooting comes just weeks after a 2-year-old girl was killed and an 11-month old critically wounded in two separate shootings. So far this year, there have been more than 300 homicide victims in Philadelphia, according to statistics by Philadelphia police. It's the highest number since 2007.

Don't the people deserve freedom from gun violence? Seems to me that if ever there was a "natural right," it would be the right for a boy to walk home from school without being shot in the freaking head.

THe US should allow gun manufacturers to be sued and their CEO's imprisoned. Also, death penalty for the NRA spokesmen and women would go a long way.

So...if an airline pilot gets smashed, and flies anyway, and crashes, we get to sue Boeing?

Hmm... which gun manufacturer(s) would you hold responsible for thug A shooting at thug B and striking some innocent bystander by mistake? Should we also hold knife manufacturers responsible for criminal stabbings and vehicle manufacturers responsible for deaths/injuries caused by traffic law violators?

I am sure that many would prefer a law against walking before one against owning as many freaking guns as they want. They already prefer locking people away for life over letting a few out early without the full reinstatement of their gun rights.

Sold to readily accept bullets from any manufacturer and shot by anyone, regardless of age or competence. Sounds like depraved indifference and gross negligence.

What does the (unnamed) gun manufacturer have to do with this? Nope, only the logically challenged would try to shift the blame to someone other than the asshole firing that fatal shot for his/her personal illegal act.
