Exactly how many legal gun owners have ever shot anybody? I bet every legal gun owner in America would be all for gun confiscation if you could make sure you only took the guns from crooks, psycho's and those who own them illegally. Unfortunately that will never happen so I'll just keep mine and trust myself more than I trust left wing socialist.

Its not one paper. Its a collection of them. And it explains the plethora of evidence on the causality.. from animal studies forward.

but you go ahead and present your plethora of studies that show that 1. There is absolutely no proof of causality between smoking and cancer.

AND you show the studies that show irrefutable proof of the causality of firearms with violence.

THE SAD fact is this. Some of the gun banners claim their anti gun position is based on a "desire to decrease crime". Yet they push for laws that ONLY impact legal gun owners. Some of them claim they want to protect "innocent life" yet there are many things that harm far more people and cause far more premature deaths than firearms-especially the firearms that the anti gun fanatics seek to currently ban (AR 15s are used in less than one percent of all murders).

The real motivation for most of the avid gun restrictionists is to harass and hassle people who don't buy into their political views.

You are correct in the sense that most people who commit suicide are not felons or others who are 18 USC 922 prohibited persons. But legal gun owners rarely shoot loved ones. In fact it is statistically non-existent.

That is incorrect. Most legal gun owners do not shoot other people.

This is the USA. In your home country of Australia from what I know you don't have that many guns. If you like it that way you can stay there.

I will spell it out for you. What Toggle Almendro is saying, from what I deduce is that he wants to know why its so important that you're more likely to shoot yourself or a loved one than a criminal. A claim you make time and time again and keep repeating like a broken record.

Now, even if you are right. Even if you are more likely to shoot yourself or a loved one than a criminal, so what?

Actually I really would like to visit Australia sometime. From what I've heard its a very beautiful and very fascinating place. But don't worry, I won't bring any guns. :)

Well from what I know about Hawaii, I believe they now allow open carry without a permit. The law that required a permit was challenged and taken to court.
