You are trying to compare apples and oranges, which always ends in failure.
    I didn't present a solution here.

So, no, your whole post is based on you thinking you know what I think.

"A Gloucester teenager who planned a mass shooting has been jailed for 16 years.

Kyle Davies tried to buy a handgun and ammunition for £1,000 from a dealer on the dark web, and planned a “shooting event” according to police."

In the US, chances are this kid would have been able to get his hands on a gun.

In the UK he struggled, having to go to the dark web to get it, exposing himself, and having to fork out a lot of money to do so.

Probably why the UK hasn't has a high school massacre shooting since Dunblaine in 1996.
I do feel the UK style laws would probably not fly in America. I support reasonable gun control but outright bans would not really work at this point when we already have 300 million guns.

But we can do a lot better

Well, the issue is that really, with the partisan system in place right now, nothing would work. School shooting after school shooting and it's like water off a duck's back.

America has a high tolerance for blood...that is true.

    But change is inevitable

I know. But if supply and demand changed, the flow would be inbound.

Some Russians were arrested for importing AK47's and 74's while exporting stolen cars a few years ago.

Aren't you ignoring that the US is the one who stopped this kid? The UK just got the arrest.

Depends what the demand would be. Smuggling is purely a free market endeavor.
