Whether they can or cannot be fully integrated is irrelevant. There exists no better option than to try. The only question of importance is how best to achieve this.

And we are as a society less racist than we were 20 to 30 years ago, because the SJW's remind us when we fall back into old habits that disfranchise minorities.

There are functional aspects to race, as phenotypes have developed in response to environmental conditions, but that's not what I'm talking about. When I think of a lack of integration I think of the fact that race and racism are very much real forces in American society and to a greater or lesser extent have always shaped our history and our culture and have led to the conditions where black communities find themselves with so many difficulties. So no there is not full integration because there is not harmony.

I'm not so sure. The underlined above probably with emphases on media take a little unrest or an incident and magnify it until it looks like a big problem.

If not safer they have skin in the game. It's safer in the same concept that mutually assured destruction makes the world safe from atomic weapons. It's not a trump card if you will it's more along the lines of equalizer.

And I say this because the criminal always has the upper hand because they know when they're going to attack you you don't, do you have to rely on instincts and reactions. That being said unless you're dealing with a very seasoned killer then someone who's going to attack you if you're aware of their presence is going to give themselves away.

I don't like the idea that have a gun on my hip makes me safer because it doesn't someone could walk up behind me without me knowing it shoot me in the back of the head.

But yes the possibility that that woman there might just put some lead in their guts would probably make a would-be rapist a little less likely to attempt to rape her.
