We are discussing the protections of the Second Amendment and Democrats have made no bones about gun control. During a debate of presidential candidates, when Sanders was pushing for his 31 trillion dollar healthcare plan Biden was quick to jump on him. But when Beto said we are coming for your guns nobody seemed to have a problem with that.

All you have to do is look at Democratic run cities to find out how they feel about guns. Beto just said it out loud without a single candidate stepping up to the mic to state any 2nd Amendment protections or that he was wrong. NOT ONE.

I GUARANTEE you if he said that in front of any Republican candidate he would have been pounced on in a second. Again, not one single candidate took the opportunity to call Beto out for being an idiot. Why, because they don't disagree with him.

I must have missed that debate. Exactly when was Santorum on a debate stage trying to push his agenda over all the other candidates? That must mean that all Democrats are Klansmen since Hillary was kissing up to Robert Byrd and we never heard a peep from any Democrat denouncing his Klansman days or his fight against civil rights.

Only in the liberal brain could you make such a connection.

There Is no such thing as "an assault" weapon. Please tell us what that is, cause... don't exist. At least that civilians can actually buy without huge taxes and clearances. Mostly it's the gun ranges that have them for rent.

Any semi-automatic long gun capable of shooting multiple rounds rapidly in succession. That's why the military use them instead of single-shot, bolt-action weapons. There is no need for a civilian to own them, nor a conceivable situation where one would be of any practical use whatsoever.

Then what is the need for a Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. on US roads when the max. speed is 70 mph?

There is no need for non-race car drivers to own cars with race car engines ... no practical use whatsoever.

1 person making a claim, is not an entire side or party agreeing and wanting to to said insane thing.

Only idiots think 1 person claim = all of the others that are similar in party wants the same thing.

And for the heck of it, what is Beto's chance of getting to the general election? 2%? And somehow, that makes you think the other 98% believe exactly as he does?

Beto never stated he would take away ALL guns, he was referring to one type of weapon. You should clarify and get it correct.

My position on guns has not changed.
All guns will never be taken, likely ever.

Some perhaps, as there are limits already in place on guns, arms, weapons.
Most every person on this issue has some limit on weapons ownership that violates the true letter of 2A. Which has NO restrictions.

99% is a big number, that should be really easy to find the data to prove it. If true.

Conservative media drips with fearmongering, in a daily basis.

Conspiracy theories about all powerful, anonymous masters of the universe abound (changing names from time to time) in conservative media, and have done so for decades.

Fear of the future, fear of the unknown, and fear of anything that doesn’t look like their familiar world.


And Fox, talk radio, and blogs market to those instincts ever day.

It sells.

It’s what propelled gun sales to record heights while Obama was President.

Fear.
