I should not be punished for other people's actions

There has been all this talk here about how guns are used in mass killings, where many innocent people are killed but the fact of the matter is that neither I nor most gun owners in the USA kill innocent people. What with all these school shootings and people ranting and raving that children shouldn't be shot in math class, well as horrible as those shootings are I don't shoot children in math class or anywhere else. Ive never gone on a mass shooting and most gun owners in the USA don't either. Far less than 1 percent of all gun owners in the USA ever shoot innocent people.

When you hear about children being shot in math class, or anywhere else, its horrible. The sad and unfortunate fact is that there are horrible people in this world who do stuff like that. But I am not one of them. As such I should not have my rights to buy and own guns infringed upon.

In short I should not be punished because of what somebody else did with a gun.

The fact is that taking away guns will not stop the mass shootings. A couple of handguns with clips can kill a lot of people. We worry about mass shootings but the fact is 1207 people have been killed in mass shootings since 1966, yet 650,000 to 950,000 babies have been aborted since 1973. Strange set of values. Both should be viewed as things that shouldn't happen.

Your claim is bogus. The AR15 is the weapon of choice for mass murders in this country. Over and over again we have a mass killing event and what do we find out? The killer used an AR15. You're fooling no one.

"Dayton shooter's gun is the reason he killed 9 in 30 seconds — and gun-makers know it
Aug. 6, 2019, 5:44 PM EDT

Once again, lone gunmen armed with (legally purchased) military-style assault weapons were able to quickly kill unarmed civilians in two mass shootings this past weekend. The fact that the Dayton shooter was killed within 30 seconds of firing his first shot — and yet was still able to kill nine people within that short period of time, injuring dozens more — makes plainly visible what military veterans like myself have long understood: Assault rifles are uniquely lethal because they’re designed to kill as many humans as possible, as quickly as possible.

The message for consumers is clear: If you want to be a badass, all you need to do is buy a semi-automatic assault rifle with a high capacity magazine. You can pretend that you’re a Navy SEAL or an Army Ranger without suffering the inconvenience of early morning wake-ups, tough training and demanding standards.

you're lying if you use the standard definition of a mass shooting. Now if you are using the dishonest leftwing definition -one that only counts mass shootings as ones where AR 15s are used than you might have a point.

The problem with you gun banners is you get destroyed by your own dishonest terms. You try to pretend that there are hundreds of mass shootings a year. So you count say the Case in Cincinnati where a Sikh man killed his wife (allegedly) and three of her family members. That isn't how most people think of mass shootings, but gun banners count it when they try to argue that there are lots of them. They don't count the vast majority of cases where inner city gang bangers shoot 4-5 rivals or a distraught nutso family member kills his family., Those cases almost never involve AR 15s. You only count the few publicized ones where there is often an AR 15 being used. But those mass shootings are rare and kill very few. California, for example, averages less than FIVE people a year in mass shootings.\

So your gun banning proclivities prevent honesty. AR 15s are used in less than 2% of all murders and the percentage used in mass shootings is rather low as well.

Let's not forget these statistics. 15,000 or so gun murders right? And some of them are one person killing multiple people. So let's just say 15,000 people murdered other human beings. There are 330,000,000 or so people in this country. So because .000045% of the population committed murder, the remaining law abiding citizens need their rights taken away? That's bull**** in the extreme.

We're going to start with you Turtle. Turn in your AR15 today.

I have lots, which one. I also am retired federal law enforcement. People like you are far more likely to investigated by the Po Po

BTW I see you don't have any response to the points I made. I didn't expect any, though

You tell everybody that 5 times a day. Get over it.

you need to understand that most of us know far more about the subject than you do and when you make silly comments like coming after my guns, I am going to explain why they are silly. The fact is, anti gun posters almost never have much factual basis for their comments. The only fact that seems to matter to the gun banners is that avid gun owners are not fans of the creeping crud of welfare-socialism that gun banners almost invariably support

And you tell everybody 5 times a day how much more you know than they do. Stop boring us to death.
