YAY!! Walmart steps up!

No not really. They do not sell machines who's design purpose is to sow death and destruction.... except maybe the Oxycontin makers. They should be in jail for murder.

credible proof required for that.

It is you gun banners who want to start a civil war-and you all will be hoping other people with guns carry out your wet dreams of gun owners being attacked by government agents

No you are so wrong you make my stomach hurt by laughing at this post. So it's the left's fault that people with guns will carry out a civil war? Read what you type man...

Neither do gun makers who sell to the public. You are confusing sporting firearms with military bombers and artillery

The only "sport" that most gun owners participate in is suicide or murder.

At the same time, gun violence – from big-city murders to mass shootings – has spurred debate in Congress and state legislatures over proposals to limit Americans’ access to firearms. Counting murders and suicides, nearly 40,000 people died of gun-related violence in the United States in 2017, the highest annual total in decades.

Walmart just announced that it's stepping back from gun sales and ammo sales. The story just broke but from what I heard they will no longer sell the 'assault-style' weapons and large ammo clips.

FINALLY

This is goid news. This will help mom-n-pop gun shops.

If that's why Walmart took these steps then thank God for it. You people on the right only want to sell more guns to more people which is a totally idiotic suggestion.

You people on the Left are the best gun salesmen on the planet.

What I want to know is, who the hell is buying their guns at Walmart? Ammo, absolutely. Weapons?

I can't image a person leaving Walmart on the phone going, "Honey, I've got the eggs, milk, diapers and the shotgun"

Actually, if you want a Remington 870, Mossberg 500 or a Ruger 10/22 Walmart is a good choice.

I don't recall ever seeing "assault-style" weapons at any Wal-Mart I've ever been to.

I've seen a couple, but that's it. Mostly they sell high-speed manually operated shotguns and sniper rifles.

My local Wal-Mart only seemed to atock bottom shelf Wolf or Tula so it's been years for me purchasing ammo there. I like going to my local gunshop, they always have a good selection and latest products.

Don't see this as having any real impact nor will it gain or loose them any business in a meaningful way, just gives the anti rights folks a temporary chubby and gets a few headlines for a day or so.

“Most”? The estimates are there are 120+million gun owners in the US. “Most” participate in suicide or murder?

Yes the most common "use" for a firearm in the home is suicide or murder.

Having a gun in the home is associated with an increased risk of firearm homicide and firearm suicide, regardless of storage practice, type of gun, or number of guns in the home.1 Guns kept in the home are more likely to be involved in a fatal or nonfatal unintentional shooting, criminal assault or suicide attempt than to be used to injure or kill in self-defense.2 Rather than conferring protection, guns in the home are associated with an increased risk of homicide by a family member or intimate acquaintance.

It's a good thing for the gun shops. A bad thing the gun buying public.

An empty gesture to satisfy those who think the gun or the "clip" is the problem.

No more lever action Henrys of the 1800s Winchester design WalMart sold. I guess people are just going to have to by AR15s, AR10s and AK47 at the gun shop or gun show. :2razz:

I'm on the right and I'm sure not selling mine. Wonder what stance Walmart will take if someone commits a mass shooting with hunting ammo? Include it in their little ban know doubt.

You seem to cheering on mass shooters.
No it's just that YOUR SIDE doesn't want to do anything that is helpful in any degree at all except ban something that will have no effect other than saying "well look what we did".

That fool disrespecting me let's go cap his punk ass.
But Walmart doesn't sell ammo anymore.
Damn well we all cool now let's go get him some flowers instead.

Considering a Walmart was shot up by a guy with an AR style weapon and another moron decided to go for a stroll through one while carrying one i can understand their policy

But their policy won't make Wal Marts any safer!! They just gave into the mob.....

Why would WalMart care if there is a mass shooting in any of their stores?
