No, it is not. It seems you and another poster have a closed mind on the problem.

Dodging by responding this way pretty much indicates you got nothing.

Your questions are biased and based on hypocrisy.

Mike!

In Australia, a maximum penalty for aggravated firearm trafficking across national and state borders is life imprisonment.

In the U.S you can buy guns and cross states lines. Apparently following Australia's good and common sense law hurts honest gun owners?

I suggest we follow Australia, which fits your criteria: Harsh against crime, but I don't think you would advocate for this making your position very hypocritical!

Avoiding questions again. Your example is irrelevant.
What your forgot to mention is the gun trafficking law Australia passed was target to criminals not regular citizens.
"Criminals who traffic large quantities of firearms or firearm parts will face life imprisonment under new laws passed by the House of Representatives"

I have no issue with that law. Seems your dishonest in some of your responses.

Interesting how you don't know. I can't answer your question because it based on a general premises of "lax gun laws". Do you agree most gun owners are responsible? Do you agree it is a very small percentage of people who use guns against other people?

I apologize if you have already gave an answer to this question, but what new gun laws are you looking for?

I would say NO, most gun owners are not responsible.

I can not answer your question because you can not answer mine

cute.
If I answered your question I would be agreeing to your position that gun laws are laxed. So are we talking just federal gun laws or State gun laws? If State what State. California is stricter than Arizona for example. Your statement was way to broad based to answer.

In general we have the most lax gun laws of any first world nation

I would say NO, most gun owners are not responsible.

then why is the body count so low. 100 million gun owners and less than 2500 deaths a year from those who legally own firearms

by your definition then, most legal driver's are responsible as well.

Can I have some of whatever your smoking. Your comment is irrelevant to the question of do you have any data to back that up. The answer seems to be NO.

They are. ask any insurance agent

Thank you. We have a lot of rules and regulations on the road and in regards to driving a car.

Thank you for finally agreeing we need better laws on gun control.

that's as stupid as it is dishonest. Most injuries from driving is due to a lack of skill or distracted driving. Most harm from firearms comes from intentional desires to hurt others.

If the majority of drivers are not responsible, then why do so many of them get approved for auto insurance?

I believe the majority of pot smokers are more responsible than gun owners. Those in jail because of weed should swap places with those gun owners that should take their place.

If the majority of firearms owners are irresponsible, ,the number of accidental deaths would be huge. the number of accidental shootings is extremely low

For what crime-owning a gun? Lets think that bit of idiocy through (though I agree, pot smokers shouldn't be in jail-or even arrested-unless they say drive irresponsibly due to being stoned).

Pretty much all of these school shooters were legal gun owners before they committed their heinous actions.

so tell me Bucky-tell me the real consequences of wanting to jail all gun owners because they might commit a crime. Can you tell us how many legal gun owners actually go on to commit murder?

I believe, and many people believe the government has the right and take away a gun from a person they think may commit one of these heinous acts. Our country is in quite a mess. Too many people have guns that shouldn't. People with mental issues. Men that commit domestic violence. These are bad hombres. No one with a violent record or with suicidal thoughts should have a gun period. We need to take action and take away the thing they are going to use to kill someone!!!

Red flag laws? It is past red flag. The flag is upside down on fire!

The truth, not consequence is less gun violence and less senseless deaths.
