Tippmann Armory 9mm Gatling GunThe Firearm Blog
I can see it as it happens. A van pulls up and parks on a busy street somewhere in a city. The back doors to the van are swung open by the driver and inside is the shooter with the gatling gun and starts to mow down people at a new and alarming rate. After going through a couple of mags the doors are shut and the van races off looking for more targets and another street. Definitely a mass murder's wet dream of a weapon. And the NRA will be telling us that it is the right of people to won their own gatling gun as they need it to protect their houses.

Not likely the NRA would do that; loony lefty mantras not withstanding. Probably more likely Antifa would adopt it - easier than swinging clubs at old people and journalists.

similar firearms have been legal for decades and available. I have yet to hear of anyone ever using one illegally. SO your silly hysterics are just that.

The street price on the new Tippmann Armory 9mm Gatling Gun hasn’t been officially set as of yet, but expect it to be around $3500 to $4000

AH, but the other ones are not small and easy to use as this gun is. And we did not have the kind or number of mass shooters as we do today. They seem to be competing to kill the most people. And with this weapon, they can end up the champ.

We have had what, one liberal crazy and more than a dozen right wing crazies mass shooters. More likely this will be used by a right wing rather than an ANTIFA

Don’t be scared. You have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than shot with a Gatling gun. LOL
Actually if you are privileged white boy, stay out of the hood, you have a much greater chance of being murdered by anything other than a Gatling gun. LOL

When I first saw those scale model Gatlings and such, my immediate thought wasn't, "Gee what a great gun to commit mass murder with! Let me imagine some scenarios!"

I don't know where some people's heads are at...

Except Antifa is an organized gang those "right wing crazies" are lone wolf loonies that have nothing to do with the actual right wing.

Then that would require a group of people to do as such, and I don't think that such a weapon would be legal without certain permits. So such information would be traceable, and I don't know if you've ever seen anyone actually fire on of those things. But accuracy really isn't the strong suit of a gatling gun, especially not one with such a low profile. The shooter would have to find a way to hold the thing up to at least chest height, and then either operate the crank himself, or have someone do it for him. Which is going to throw his aim all over the place.

This is basically a novelty gun.

Actually you'd need to go into the information and make sure that these people were all actually on the right or left. Because saying that someone is one the right for say, simply being anti government and that's it. Then they could just as well lob all of antifa into that category.

You'd still most likely need more than one person to operate this thing with any amount of actual control, and hope to really hit anyone.

Are you being facetious, independentusa? This looks like it would be extraordinarily inaccurate and impractical, and using 9mm Glock magazines, it would hold 17 rounds. 33 tops. I am sure someone here who uses Glock firearms can tell us more about the magazine capacities.

The Gatling gun was made to fight against massed line infantry and cavalry formations in set-piece battles, where its general inaccuracy would not present an issue when dealing with tight-ranked opposing forces combined with its (relatively) high rate of fire. And those were huge slow-moving .58-caliber rounds that were being used in the original version, and a stray shot could potentially shatter and sever limbs. But this scaled-down version? Someone aiming to commit mass murder would do better to simply use a 9mm semiautomatic pistol.

EDIT: If all mass shooters in the future used this 9mm Gatling Gun, the United States would see an extraordinary drop-off in shooting deaths and injuries. I can only hope they adopt your idea.

Most people who want to ban certain firearms, rarely have a clue how they work. 33 round glock magazines are mainly bought for PCC competitors rather than for pistols. They make it very hard to conceal a pistol and they don't fit in "the box" for USPSA competition.

Who cares how they work? They can cause massive damage. You don't need to know-how sarin gas works or the properties of the compound.

Knowing how firearms work is irrelevant!

they are less likely to cause mass damage than common handguns. Those who claim otherwise, prove their ignorance of guns and how they work.

Were I forced to choose their weapons, I would wish all mass shooters were just as plainly ignorant about firearms and bought these 9mm Gatling guns because they looked so frightening and dangerous. The rate of mass shooting deaths would fall through the floor.

I guess if you put it on a swivel mount it might work against someone in a manual wheelchair. and can you imagine trying to carry that surreptitiously down some city street or into a mall before a cop or someone with a CCW spots you. IT just shows how silly the "lets ban it" movement is.

To draw a comparison Bucky, comparing the deadliness of a full-sized .58 caliber Gatling Gun with a 9mm version is like comparing a Hellfire Missile to an Estes Rocket. Both are dangerous if you are struck by one. One is significantly more lethal than the other. And, what is more, this 9mm Gatling Gun is almost certainly extraordinarily inaccurate (as the original was). A person with a pistol coming after you and able to take careful aim would be far more dangerous to you than someone with this contraption.

Who the heck cares? All guns need to be regulated. If you drive, you are legally required to have insurance. You are legally required to have a license. You cannot drive while drinking or while on drugs. You are legally required to have your tabs updated, etc... etc...

You do not need to know the inner workings of a car or the difference between 4 wheel vs an all-wheel to know certain people shouldn't be on the road.

Gatling guns were pretty well worthless against individual infantry since the original ones on carriage mounts could not be swung side to side. rather they were designed to be used against -say Zulu Impas charging towards British lines or calvary crossing in front of the gatling guns (for edification of this-watch the great film Gunga Din where british gatling guns were successful deployed against crossing calvary)

This is some serious case of 'crawfishing' back from your prior idiotic post about banning these things. Guns are already regulated-and anything harmful you can do with a gun is extremely illegal

LOL wrong. IF guns were regulated like cars, we would be a lot safer. Saying guns are already regulated is just not true.

That's both stupid and illogical. Guns are constitutionally protected. Yet I cannot legally buy a gun from a friend who lives in KY. I cannot buy a gun from a licensed dealer in Oklahoma or Florida or GA or Maine or other states that are not adjacent to Ohio. My CCW does not work in NY or California, but my driver's license is valid in all fifty states, Canada, Mexico etc.

You are lying when you say guns are not regulated. that is so stupid that I have to laugh at it. What you are really saying is you don't understand the level of regulation guns face but you want MORE of it.

Generally speaking for the majority of American gun owners there is no system, database, or registry that ties us to any of our firearms.

Are Guns Registered in a National Firearms Registry | Concealed Carry Inc

More dishonesty from the resident "gun expert"

Guns are regulated.
Maybe you don't know the meaning of the word, regulate?

"Gun control is the set of laws or policies that regulate the manufacture, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms by civilians."
