in addition to that being an insult, it is false. I don't believe your claims. Nothing you have said even remotely suggests you have any understanding of firearms use-rather your posts suggest an irrational hatred of gun owners, gun ownership and pro gun rights advocates. For me to be a liar-I would have to know that what I said about you is false, and I have absolutely no honest belief that you own or understand guns

What I found interesting is before I had read your reply listing the valid reasons Americans own modern sporting rifles, I posted my list, sadly the poster does not seem to grasp how these firearms are being used across the US. After reading what the Dems passed as so called gun control I may have to make choices when it comes to 2020.

Yep, if that "logic" is allowed to fly then using it as justification for a handgun ban becomes a slam dunk. This is why making the discussion about the tool used for committing a specific crime is so ingenious - folks are then expected to "compromise" and agree that guns are just too effective when in the hands of a (suicidal?) killer and that some crimes are just super horrific while ignoring the real deal which is that they are (being tricked into?) accepting the premise that the tool's availability caused the crime.

There are at LEAST forty million firearms in private hands that meet the current dishonest definitions that Democrats terms "assault weapons". There are less than 2% of the murders each year committed with those firearms and other long arms that aren't currently called 'assault weapons' (most of the deaths inflicted with long arms involve 22 caliber rifles since they are so common and then shotguns). SO what would a RATIONAL person think all those 40 million or more firearms are being used for?

I have said for thirty years that the schemes to try to ban semi auto rifles is to establish a precedent to ban other firearms that are used in more crimes

Your side wants as many dead school children murdered by guns as possible. That is why they demand putting up signs advertising for mass shooters at every school, promising that no one in the school can stop them - while also demanding it be a felony for anyone to be able to - and rant no police should be in school. The more murdered children by guns the better.

Notice it is only gun murders they address. Bombs, knives, poison gas, arson? Those would contradict their agenda. They WANT kids shot and killed, not murdered otherwise. Getting children shot is exactly what they want for their agenda.

The rich and powerful always want peasants disarmed. Before firearms, they could enslave, rape, torture, steal from and murder any and all peasants they wanted to. All human and civil rights came out of the end of gun barrels held by peasants.

Stop pretending you care about murdered children. It is all about you wanting the rich and power of the world to have absolutely power - you think then they will be generous when you beg for them to provide for you.

The VT shooting, the Fort Hood Shooting, the Luby's of Texas Shooting, the Gabby Giffords shooting, won't be counted. Nor will the vast majority of "mass shootings" that involve one gang taking out several rivals or a case near my home where a Sikh husband wasted his wife and three of her relatives in a marriage gone bad.

America was founded on opposition to ideas of big government control of what people should think and do. That's what brutal dictators do. Americans need to keep their guns to form a united impenetrable barrier to encroaching forces moving the US towards big government oppression.

I actually know a survivor of the luby's shooting, the bad part is he being a victim is not anti gun, and carried an m-16a1 in vietnam. I was on fort hood during the fort hood shooting, I was however on the opposite side of post, Hassan was a nutball that everyone who knew him kept reporting him. We also had that nutball that tried to blow up part of the base who got busted because he was buying large quantities of blackpowder substitute and no other blackpowder items like caps flints patches lead balls etc, he got reported by the gunshop and busted which is a good thing because he was awol from his post after being court marshalled for child pornography and decided he wanted revenge by attacking the largest army post.
