Also there may be less stigma associated with mental health than here in the states.. which again.. leads to more access to mental health treatments.

So no.. its not strange at all. I am sure there may be other factors as well.. like how they deal with drug use.. like the difference between treatment versus incarceration... since a lot of folks with mental health issues get into drugs as a means to self medicate themselves.
So we should put you down as supporting putting GPS trackers in everyone to "save lives"?

Ah here is the real motivation-you all are mad that the NRA helped elect Trump. I can think of only one poster on this board who is anti gun and doesn't hate Trump

Puppets? Who do politicians seek to please more, American voters or the NRA? Who do politicians seek to please more, Americans or the democrat party?

America is powerless to prove that increasing more gun laws will effectually stop gun violence by lawbreakers. Are there not enough laws forbidding murder already on the books? Can we pass more laws against murder in order to "do something" to stop the violence?

If Laperriere has politicians on the take, then who do you imagine Epstein and dogs like him had on the take?

Like any other science, the studies of Mental Illness from one country to the next overlap, and a are shared. To say that the US efforts at controlling mental illness is that much different than the other nations on that chart, such that these differences would lead to the US having a gun-death rate 10x many of those countries, is ludicrous.

    No its not ludicrous.

So what that studies of mental illness are shared?

Whats not shared is universal healthcare.. where approximately 10% of our population doesn't have health insurance and doesn't have access to healthcare unless its a dire emergency. Which puts people with mental health problems and without health insurance in a tough spot.

Statistically the mass shootings were someone decides to go out and kill school children.. or go kill folks randomly in a mall.. etc.. is very small. It garners a lot of attention.. but of the 329 million people in the country.. the fellow that decides to go shoot children is extremely rare.

Well..so statistically, when you have 10% of the population that has little to no access to mental health care.. you are talking about 32 MILLION people. Its certainly statistically logical that 32 million people without access to mental health could account for the difference between America and the UK when it comes to mass shooting.

You made the ridiculous "mental illness" statement. Prove your point. We've averaged almost one mass-murder per day in the US in 2019. My bar is a lot higher than that.

The overwhelming majority of those "mass shootings" are gang related, not the mental health issues that we see in actual mass shootings. The definition of "mass shootings" has been changed to push an agenda and it's backfiring for the anti-gun crowd big time.
