Which just proves that they don't actually care about saving lives.

No, it's not a given. It's a load of hyperbolic crap fallaciously put forth by those who live in irrational constant fear of having their firearms confiscated.

Red Flag laws are unconstitutional and hopefully this will be brought before the Supreme Court soon so they can be shot down once and for all.

As for free speech, your example was a really piss poor one. Yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater (for example) is far different from one speaking out on an issue they're passionate about, such as gun control. But I did expect the point to go flying over your head and I wasn't disappointed.

Actually the NRA "gun toters" make far more sense than point you're trying to make, and failing miserably I might point out.

Evil people exist and they do evil things. As we can see what Britain has been going through, evil people will use whatever they can to harm or kill others. I could point out countless reasons why gun bans, red flag laws and other ridiculous measures won't work but I get the distinct impression that you don't care because you would rather react based on emotions rather than actual common sense.
A Red Flag law just DID WORK in the State of Vermont. Meanwhile, those from the school of WE-ARE-JUST-SO-POWERLESS-TO-DO-ANYTHING-ABOUT-MASS-MURDERERS continue to sing the same old song. COMMON SENSE ---> the notion that more assault-like weapons in circulation is going to reduce mass murders is ludicrous.

Sir.. we had an assault weapons ban for 10 years.. along with a high capacity magazine ban. After 10 years of having the ban.. the results of the ban were analyzed. Statistically there was no significant decrease in gun crime, etc.. with the Assault weapons ban in place.

In other words..the research showed it did absolutely nothing after 10 years.

So you please explain the common sense that an assault weapons ban or whatever,,, is going to have an appreciable effect.. when we already had one.. and it did not work after 10 years.

By the way.. there is a number of things we can do to stop violence and particularly these types of mass shootings.. and that's improve our mental health system.

You say that this red flag law was a success. Well actually... it shows astounding lack of common sense.

The person "stopped"..by the red flag... had been making statements "FOR YEARS". Why did this person not be able to get the mental health they need?
So we should put you down as supporting putting GPS trackers in everyone to "save lives"?

I and several others have schooled them that using the term "assault" with weapons that are not useful for that military tactic is dishonest. So they have now adopted that term so they can pretend its not dishonest. It is akin to me putting a bunch of decals and a spoiler on my wife's Lexus Hybrid and call it a "NASCAR like" automobile.

Facts" we gun banners don't need no stinkin facts"!

IN 1996, Diane Feinstein, one of the gloating assholes after the Clinton Gun ban was passed-was informed that Colt, Bushmaster, DPMS, etc had modified their AR 15s by removing those brutal bayonet lugs and the scary flash hiders, and were thus legally selling the rifles again. DiFi had a fit =screaming that the makers were "ignoring the INTENT" of the law.
