Make your private sale gun purchases NOW - those end within days

THe bill of rights is a restriction on government. So its absurd to make the claim they can make restrictions on the bill of rights.
There could be the possibility that an amendment, let's say the 28th amendment, restricts gun ownership.

No one.....and I mean no legal expert in the country.....believes the bill of rights is unlimited.

That is laughable

They could prevent many gun deaths. Do you know how many people fail a background check every year

This is dumb. Someone doesn't fail background checks and still purchase a gun.

What are you trying to say?

Dude. Expand background checks to include all sales and it is harder for prohibited persons to get guns

And thus the system works. Duh

The Dayton shooter was underage when he made those lists and threats, for example, which could've prevented him from passing a background check before purchasing his gun. Those juvie records are sealed and can't be used to prevent someone from passing a background check.

Uh......ok. so we prevent some other mass shootings

You can't always make it harder to own a gun because, in some cases, it's against the law to make it harder. More than just tougher background check laws will have to be put into place.

Well in ten years of selling firearms in a major national sporting goods store I had one.

That turned out to be a mistake and after moths of bull**** the customer got his gun.

In that same period of time we had one hand gun stolen. That o e was recovered after being used in a bank robbery.

Thousands are denied every year

No it isn't, all this will do is developed a black market, and turn law abiding citizens into criminals,as there is a lot of people that will not abide by this law.

No it will save lives

Reading through these posts it is clear that some see this as a first step towards a universal data base, which is just one step closer to confiscation.

A d they just cannot even imagine why so many of us appose it...

No it will save lives

Name one mass shooting that would have been prevented by a universal background check.

Do you know how many people fought and died for our freedom?

The right to bear arms was so important that it is the second amendment for a reason!!!

That statement is so silly.

How many mass shootings were prevented last year?

Can you prove it was zero?

Where is that currently working?

Gun control works in lots of places

Very strict gun legislation, maybe, even gun banning, you mean? There is strict gun legislation in Chicago, for example. London, UK, bans guns but that hasn't prevented the level of violence from spreading in London, UK. People just use other weapons than guns and the violence is spiking. London's murder rate now tops New York City's
