And before possibly outlawed. Become truly capable at 1000+ yard sniper shots with your first shot? Want 2 inch groups at 600 yards out of an AR15? This is the way to go - if you got the money of course.

I want the AR15 and the .338 Lapua Magnum bolt action, plus a great thermal scope to attach. Could live with a night scope. The semi-auto .308 is impressive, but overkill and costly to fire, plus the loudness factor. The .338 bolt action would cover any need for hard hitting long range - even much longer.

If I just HAD to, I could live with only the AR15 with a thermal. ONLY $10,000 for the rifle/scope setup and $17,000 for the .338 - not counting the thermal. For ONLY a bit over $30K you can have it all.

Other than .22s for plunking or small game and shotguns, what else could a person ever need in a long gun? If you're missing with one of those? Give up shooting and have a psychiatrist check you for brain damage.

Any idiot can hit a target at 1400 yards with a 200 grain .338?! 600 yards with a high capacity magazine semi-auto AR15? Or, worse, their NATO 30 caliber semi-auto? I'm surprised they are still civilian purchase legal. I suspect they won't be for long.

Some right wingers are soooo insecure they don't even have the confidence to do that. I work with many of them. Just about to buy a gun guys, but never do.

I bet it happens. REAL quick.

Yeah, I'm like that. I only bought 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 guns in the last 10 days and only have about 400 to 500 because I trade off some and throw some away now and then. I'm all talk and no action when it comes to purchasing firearms. Not much on buying bullets either, only have about half a million rounds.

My hesitation? Not the price.

I HATE going thru an FFL and as a rule won't do it. So that is my hesitation. If I knew of ANY of those at a private sale I'd grab it up - and probably all of them the seller had. These are not going to go down in value and likely would sell for far more than retail at a private sale. I'm NOT the only person who will pay a premium to NOT go thru an FFL.

They're what I'd want you to have if your city was occupied by a force sufficient to keep our forces at bay.

So our military is kept at bay and what? You are gonna use your rifle to take on the enemy holding the city? That worked out really well for Warsaw.

Not sure the value of that but more power to ya!

I just changed out the triggers on two of my ARs the the Larue MBT...really looking forward to talking them out to the range. Added a vortex red dot to one. The other is iron sights...nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, have you not seen Red Dawn?:lamo

I'd recommend one of the Ruger Precision rifle series...a lot less costly than those models. FANTASTIC shooters.

Rugers are outstanding, plus the options to modify are almost endless.

If that happens we're bugging out. Loading up everyone, some of the 50 gallon drums of emergency supplies we have and filling some more with extra fuel - and off out into the Gulf to one of the thousands of obscure little shallow water shell islands - carrying and towing a few small boats - to then to likely sink the big boat and to hide out there. Sea and wildlife could feed us after any food supplies ran out and for all the rain here water would be no problem.

BUT that will never happen. If the USA were being successfully invaded, the next step likely is the nuclear end to 95% of the human race - if the human race is lucky.

The original is a masterpiece... the re-make sucked donkey balls.

I did not realize there was a re-make. I checked the trailer on Youtube. Wow, that should have never have happened.......

The last few years have been remake central...

Red Dawn
Point Break
Ghostbusters
Death wish
Ben Hur
Overboard
Oceans 8
Robocop

They all sucked and the originals were obviously great.

Overboard II wasn't too bad. The politically correct women Ghostbusters is SO awful I couldn't watch more than 10 minutes.

I thought this was a dildo thread until the OP clarified it.

Not surprising-many anti gun lefties don't know the difference between a semi auto handgun and a vibrator and some of them think that Gun owners use them as sex toys.

What's even more interesting is the OP is actually talking about rifles, and not handguns, so it seems you don't know squat either.

That's really stupid, because I was referencing anti gun activists' views generally and your comment about dildos, not what the OP wants. Since the OP was talking about rifles and you thought it was about sex toys, it seems it is you who really don't know squat. Given I compete weekly with both types of firearms, I suspect I know far more about rifles and handguns than 99% of the people on this board=and all of the leftwing anti gun posters
