Yes, but the motive is to rule over us, to prevent us ruling over them, for the lust and power of having us as slaves.

Sure, if they just wanted the real-estate, they could drop a few rocks and replant their own vegetation, but what have we done to warrant the extinction of our entire evolution?

So there would be a reaction, Karma, they have to answer to the Cosmic Law.

So it is not entirely impossible that such Law would allow them engagement on the basis of a shared galaxy.

Such engagement would strengthen both races and test men's mettle in battle.

Such an engagement would take us down a few notches, limit our power and keep us out of space, but it would be costly to the invaders as genetic marks would be made for real ages.

Men would be spurned on to develop warp drive and find them.

If we came upon ourselves, a war like planet going into space with messages of peace, we might indeed offer them war; I want my Ar-15 and magazines and I want my neighbor to have one too.

    My hesitation? Not the price.

I HATE going thru an FFL and as a rule won't do it. So that is my hesitation. If I knew of ANY of those at a private sale I'd grab it up - and probably all of them the seller had. These are not going to go down in value and likely would sell for far more than retail at a private sale. I'm NOT the only person who will pay a premium to NOT go thru an FFL.
Get a carry license and they don't do the background check, makes checking out much faster and cheaper, plus you can legally carry in most places.

Re: I want 2 of these!

Having many M1s and MIAs, plus a Mini 14 .223/5.56, I decided about a decade ago I would never have an AR10 (.308) or AR15 (.223/5/56) for a specific reason. In case I ever had to appear before jury for a self defense shooting. The Mini without the mag looks like a hunting rifle and with wood stocks the MI and MIA look OLD and not intimidating. I could see some women on a jury - possibly never touched a gun in their lives - seeing an AR as terrorist/kook weapons. Not being a target or competition shooter, there is NOTHING an M1, M1A or Mini 14 can do that an AR can't - and reliably. I sold the Mini 14 years ago - and regretted it.

"Birds of a feather flock together." When I picked up a used unmodified AR15 - other than top rail and cheap scope/laser and muzzle brake and fired it - I REALLY liked it. A LOT. A whole lot. And began ordering top quality parts to upgrade it. But after ordering a few exact items I wanted - adjustable for length and cheek pad butt stock, 1.5 pound fully adjustable as to height, pull firing point and a selection of triggers - trigger group, different padded rear grip, extended bolt lock/release accessible from the trigger position, specialty 5.5 inch flash can with internal muzzle brake and a better fire selection, I paused for more research.

After a couple thousand rounds thru the AR15, I'll probably upgrade it to a .300 Blackout with 20 inch chrome lined bull barrel that I'll have beehive fluted. Unless I don't. Regardless, I want a chrome lined barrel as they last almost forever - though at a slight accuracy lose.

I am a gun kook in terms of the number of guns - antique, old, modern, civilian and military, plus gobs of accessories and at least a ton of ammo. So I put out the word among us gun kooks what I wanted. I wanted a better new AR15 and I wanted a Mini 14 - to buy or trade as a private transaction. So I traded the used AR15 I just bought and a few other firearms for a new custom built AR15 and a Mini 14 with a scope - plus picked up 3 scopes (long range adjustable, short range non-adjustable also with fiber optics "iron sights" on top, and a red dot scope. The Mini 14 came with 6 magazines, 2 each of 10, 20 and 30 round capacity.

    This are my additions:

    2rsz_ar_and_mini2.jpg

Everything on the AR15 is new except the upper, lower and a few minor items - and mostly aftermarket including the stainless steel barrel. The price wanted was $700 for the AR15 and $500 for the Mini 14, including the scope and six magazines. Instead, I traded.

I will add a flash can and wood thumbhole stock to the Mini 14, which I will keep in my truck's tool box.

I have a 1.5 lb pull adjustable trigger group, different grip, adjustable target buttstock, a 5.5 inch flash can with internal muzzle
brake, upgraded selector switch and bolt lock/release, that is accessible nearer the trigger and thumb rest to put on the replacement AR15.

Who knows what I'll add or trade off next week? Somehow, usually, it ends up having more firearms than before - but not always. I honestly don't know how many firearms I have. They cover the 1700s thru the Vietnam era for military and civilian handguns, long guns and shotguns. As small as 1 shot cap and ball tiny derringers and pocket rotating barrels cap and ball pocket guns - to as large as Brown belt fed 30.06, .308 and 1 50 cal belt fed Browning - and about everything in between. But I RARELY shoot and when I do it 99.9% of the time is a bb gun, pellet gun, airsoft or .22. I'm a collector, not a shooter - though now am working on speed and precision - practice, practice, practice. Methodically.

I don't need a CCW to conceal or open carry - and can carry almost anywhere (except airports, courthouses and some government buildings, and jails/prisons - but have a CW anyway for travel in other states. Checking out is REALLY fast for private sales. Negotiate the price or trade - hand the seller the cash or trade - and the seller hands me the firearm. Done deal. I have bought thru FFLs in the past, but that's not 5% of my purchases.

Each state is different. A fella I know in Texas said he won't get a CCW claiming this allows the police to come into your home at anytime to inspect it. I have NO clue if that is accurate as I don't know Texas law or have any reason to learn it.

Note, I actually am in the process of reducing my firearm collection. Will have have plenty, but there is too much redundancy.

I want the AR15 and the .338 Lapua Magnum bolt action, plus a great thermal scope to attach. Could live with a night scope. The semi-auto .308 is impressive, but overkill and costly to fire, plus the loudness factor. The .338 bolt action would cover any need for hard hitting long range - even much longer.

If I just HAD to, I could live with only the AR15 with a thermal. ONLY $10,000 for the rifle/scope setup and $17,000 for the .338 - not counting the thermal. For ONLY a bit over $30K you can have it all.

Other than .22s for plunking or small game and shotguns, what else could a person ever need in a long gun? If you're missing with one of those? Give up shooting and have a psychiatrist check you for brain damage.

Any idiot can hit a target at 1400 yards with a 200 grain .338?! 600 yards with a high capacity magazine semi-auto AR15? Or, worse, their NATO 30 caliber semi-auto? I'm surprised they are still civilian purchase legal. I suspect they won't be for long.

After research the company and its history, including their past firearms, I wouldn't buy anything from that company - including from their own employees statements. As many as 40% of rifles they sell were known to the company to be defective at the time they were shipped. Thus it was a total lose to the customers - as much as $20,000. Despite their promises they do not honor warranties, do not honor the extended warranty they sell for thousands of dollars (3 years old) and so that money is lost.

This meaning the odd are 40% your new exorbitantly expensive rifle either won't fire at all from day 1 - will fire - or will fire and miss 100% of the time. If it needs to be reprogrammed you can't that done either. So the rifle is doomed from the start and you can't buy replacement component at on Amazon or get Best Buy to reprogram it. Predictably, their used value falls thru the floor.

So, for example, if you buy their AR model at $10,000 + plus a couple thousand more for warranty and their special bullets, starting with day 1 it is only a matter of time before what you REALLY bought was a $500 AR15 without a trigger group - after you remove their stuff and put in a trigger so at least you got a usable rifle. That is assuming it even works when you receive it.

As a comment, the well known former military veterans all quit or were fired for objecting to what the company was doing. It now is just a money raising scheme using YouTube videos for marketing.

All the company is doing is using false hype to suck in investors and deceived customers money to try to develop a technology that does not yet exist - hoping with all the hype and by producing a working model with that money - even if its lifespan is measured in minutes - they can somehow get a government research contract from the military. I really hope the military is none so foolish and they can used investor money on false claims to bribe their way into one.

Moral of the story: Usually when something is too good to be true, it isn't.
