Failed gun regulation left this woman, defenseless and dead.

No security + being disarmed=dead victims

Afraid victim brings gun anyway: Victim afraid to bring gun, because of being afraid to wind up in a shooting match.

failed security = dead victim.

Having guns at work only means someone will get shot; or hadn't you read that story?

where only psychotic nutcases intent on doing harm have guns, others will die. When good and honest people also have guns, there is a better chance the psychotic nutcase will be killed sooner than if he is the only person initially armed.

****, just more stupid ****....

I have a bit of a jaundice eye when reading this sort of story.... IF the woman feared two fellow employees did she file a complaint, speak to HR, a supervisor???? How risky is it to carry a small handgun in her purse??? How many chest thumpin' 2nd A ranters declare- 'better judged by 12 than carried by 6'...

'Just the night before' stories are contrived.... IF the conversation was really held would she really have stopped by the open 24 hours firearms store and bought a weapon she may or may not have a clue how to use??? Thinking about it 'the night before' is meaningless and just propaganda....

Does the gun rubbing state of Tejas allow employees to carry inside municipal buildings??? :peace

Many states do, I can carry in a municipal building in WA, unless it contains a court and if it does then there must be security and weapons screening at all points of ingress.

So one incident makes the policy a fail???? At this rate everything in your life is a fail.... how sad you must be all the time... :peace

One incident? There have been more shootings at gun free zones than I can count. I live in San Bernardino. Enough said. Here we had not only the mass shooting that is infamous, but also the one where the man walked into Northpark elementary ( where my 2 kids went years earlier) and killed his ex-wife. My daughter also went to U.C Santa Barbara and had to live through the massacre that happened there. If city/county municipalities don't want their workers carrying guns to protect themselves and their co-workers then they should be protecting those workers with armed guards and metal detectors at every entrance. Tell me, what is your solution to preventing innocent people from being killed by homicidal maniacs? Remember, when seconds count, the police are just minutes away.
