Gun Control based on the Georgia Anti-Abortion Heartbeat model:

Ban guns once they are capable of firing bullets. If you get caught possessing one, you get 10 years in jail. If you get caught selling one, we give you 99 years. And, if you leave the state to buy a gun--death penalty.

Problem solved.

This **** is so sad. Gun ownership= bad guy. So misguided.

Guns are far more deadly to breathing humans than abortion. So, it's the perfect remedy.

Hey, it seems to be a good idea for abortion in Georgia. I am sure we can get Connecticut or Massachusetts to pass it for guns...maybe start with California, Washington and Oregon.

That is so stupid we are laughing. But abortion has a lot in common with gun banning. Those who claim they want to ban abortion to save innocent life, sometimes are honest-but in many cases, they are dishonest and have ulterior motives. Just like those who pretend that they want to save lives with idiotic restrictions on gun owners-when their real motives are a petulant butt hurt over the political power of pro gun voters.

Abortion terminates far more human lives (albeit ones not breathing per se) than guns do. Unless you want to argue there are less than 30,000 abortions in the USA each year.

Inflammatory and inaccurate, but more to the point it the argument does nothing to help the conversation on abortion or gun control.

The irony here is that your emotional diatribe about firearms.. is as illogical,, and ill informed as the anti abortion folks.

Look, I agree that the Georgia law is completely unacceptable in all regards, but FFS this is just silly.

Almost as silly as the Georgia law, if less directly harmful to the people of Georgia, but...

The point that the Georgia law is stupid and you're attempting to apply it's measures to firearms regulation to show just HOW stupid?

Too bad that pesky thing called the 2nd amendment would stop anything as stupid as this from ever happening.

No, silly. To be 100% fair and precise, we should ban guns when they have a heartbeat.

So that would mean I should be able to buy and own a gun as long as its unloaded, after all an unloaded gun isn't capable of firing bullets. But I would only get 10 years in jail if I ever happen to load it.

And abortions have a much higher death rate. 95% to 98 percent of abortions result in the fetus dying. 95% to 98% of all guns are not used to kill people.

And guns are sold unable to fire bullets. When you buy a gun its sold to you unloaded. So that means guns are sold in a condition where they can't fire bullets.

Now should somebody get 99 years in prison for selling a loaded gun? I agree that guns should be unloaded when they're transferred to the customer but 99 years is a bit harsh.
