There is not much truth in his arguments.
But the truth about the real old west not being anything like the movies no doubt hurts him.

Truth hurt?
Two different scenarios. But my short answer is I support legislation requiring guns locked up in homes with children under 16 to prevent children from accidents. In homes without children there should not be any locked up law.
I suspect my reading skills are far better than most on this board. My rejection of your arguments is not the same as not understanding them. Making comments concerning how guns are stored without understanding the environment is really silly. when my kid was young and had friends (whose backgrounds I really didn't know) in our home, all weapons were locked up in safes. Now that he has his own home and has a ccw permit, and only comes to our home to watch it when we are gone, I have no issues with a gun in my desk drawer or a rifle in my office.
Again online 'examples' of how 'you' don't need to secure your weapons on your estate isn't the environment most 'gun' rubbers live in...
Try again.... eace

so you call anyone who doesn't buy into your anti gun views a "gun rubber" and how is it you are in a position to speak as to the home environment of people you constantly insult with the idiotic term "gun rubbers"
My views are far from anti-gun and the extreme 2ndA folks should wear 'gun' rubber signs with pride... How many rubbers have named their primary weapon???? Psst both my wife and I have so don't get 'em in a bunch....
But to be clear I have a far better understanding of the environment most firearms are in than you.... eace
Typical loser attempt to move the goalpost and try and make the argument on something the other guy never said....
Point to where I said the Old West is realistically portrayed in John Wayne movies.... I'll wait....
What I said was Dodge City had strict confiscation laws and that is why the lawlessness was reduced dramatically. Any railhead town had violent incidents, Dodge City found a great way to dramatically reduce the violence by confiscation.
Dodge City did this not as a whim, but as a reaction.
But once more you use opinion instead of fact, you claim a town that confiscated weapons had more shoot-outs (a very select category) with absolutely no facts... eace
Odd, when the NRA fluffers rant about back round check tightening they claim most 'guns' on the street come thief. As another NRA 'advocate' claims it's just common sense to lock 'em up...

I agree its common sense to lock up your guns, and I strongly recommend people do that. However I don't support a law requiring it if there are no minor children in the home.
How are my minor children supposed to get to them if they are locked up?
