Here's all the information you need to stay in control and tell who's who in the Gun Control Forum...

That works for other stuff as well.

How to spot people ignorant about guns.

Calls magazines "clips".

Calls the AR15 a "weapon of war".

Cannot admit an M1 Carbine is a weapon of war.

claim that the only purpose for any magazine holding ten or more rounds is FOR WARFARE ONLY

claim that Reagan signed the Brady Bill

claim that a shotgun is a rifle

claim that "weapons for warfare" or "made for combat" has any relevance to the Heller Paradigm

claim that we "need to ban AR-15s so we can get a handle on mass shootings'

I just got done listening to that 17 minute bit. What is funny is that I have yet to read any of the pro gun posters who come close to the people this guy is talking about. Yes, if someone claims a 22 LR is as powerful as a 30-06 or that NO PROFESSIONAL GUN CARRIERS carry a gun anyplace other than they right hip, then they are no expert.

So while this video was amusing and mainly correct, it has NOTHING to do with the pro gun posters on this board. It does apply to people who call AR15s weapons of war, or calling AR-15s "ASSAULT RIFLES that NO "Civilized" nation allows anyone to own, etc.

So this argument is essentially a straw man since none of the pro gun posters have claimed the stuff that this fellow attacks.

I agree. It's a good video and can be applied to any subject.

True, but the only people it applies to on this forum are the ones who are anti gun and make claims equivalent to stuff as stupid as "a 22 RF is as powerful as a 30-06" or NO ONE WHO IS A professional gun packer carries their gun anyplace but on their right hip. (I carry appendix usually and have carried ankle, SOB, shoulder etc)

I agree. I believe the ignorance is on the part of fringe gun control advocates. Fringe gun rights advocates aren't ignorant they're dreaming.

The 5 methods of faking expertise are true for about anything.

My favorite are what I call GOOGLE experts. You make a point and ten minutes later they come back after googling the subject. In this day and age, google allows people to learn something rather quickly that would take a trip to the library to accomplish a couple decades ago. but generally google experts repeat stuff without really understanding it, and sometimes you can see that rather quickly.

It boils down to something he mentioned briefly in the middle. The first step in learning is knowing how much one doesn't know. The realization of the vastness of knowledge and an individual's inability to ever truly grasp it all. One then sets off to master a portion so as to better understand the whole.

One can tell when another has not reached the first step in learning on a subject.

Gotta admit I thought it was going to be some BS video but I actually marked it to watch some other of his videos later. I've known a few like he was talking about
may have even boned one myself.

I'm glad you took the first step in recognizing your own flaws.

Don't forget calling shotguns rifles.

The Gun Primer; Part 2. In THIS video we meet the "gun Experts" that we are told to ignore in video number 1. Always be very careful of these kinds of people and realize what their mission is in "political America".

another worthless straw man argument. None of the pro rights posters come close to resembling the people depicted in your first video=-he actually is talking about people who call AR-15s "designed for warfare" or other such tripe. I am not going to waste 23 minutes of my time watching another video that I am sure is even less relevant than the first one you posted.

It's just vice trying to smear a gun club.

You post a video about "evil, racist right wong militias" and the first scene is a bi-racial family eating supper. :lamo

You're always afraid of factual information and you just run like hell.

We know what you're driving at, witj your video that also interviews a black III%'er. :lamo

I run like hell? that has to be the most stupid of your many silly claims given I constantly tear up the BS you post. Your facts are hilarious-the AR 15 being made for MILITARY COMBAT being one.

Telling people to watch a 20+ minute video when the 17 minute one you posted, only destroyed your own position, is goofy.
