if we got rid of all of the electoral college system then we would be ruled by New York Chicago and LA. They would choose all of our presidents in fact presidential candidates wouldn't campaign anywhere else because there wouldn't be a point. Policy would be very centralized within those three places it would have to be in order to be elected.Under a national vote system where- ALL votes count equally with that of every other citizen. That is NOT true today under the EC system.
