Hate crime driving up minority gun ownership?

Some interesting views expressed. I am pro-gun ownership but being in Europe I am also pro making sure gun owners have proper and regular firearms training and that there is a proper system of background checks.

My view is that it is sad people feel the level of self protection is necessary that they shoot at KKK targets or black targets or muslim targets - but it takes all sorts to make the world we live in.

Shooting at a KKK target is nothing like shooting at a purposefully black or Muslim target. Not in the same world.

None of my black gun owner friends have ever mentioned hate groups as a reason for owning guns.

Almost all of them have mentioned reasons like........... thugs, thieves, break in's, gangs, and drugs in their neighborhoods.

Any more British tabloid propaganda to spread around today?

Don't other people give home security as reasons for gun ownership? I don't see the difference whether they are white people fearing black people will break into their homes or black / transgender people fearing white people will break into their homes?
