Hate crime driving up minority gun ownership?

I'm all for gun ownership. But hate crimes are not on the rise in the US. Hate crime hoaxes are.

Yes it is. It would be assault with intent to kill or murder. It doesn't matter what they're doing you don't have the right to just go kill people you don't like it's very much the same.

I don't believe people noting hate crimes as the reason they own guns actually own any guns. Hate crime is very rare and it's most often not life threatening.

Good on them...but this isnt as big a deal as the BBC video makes it. Groups like the BGOA and NAAGA have been around and growing for years. I only have one thing to say about that...welcome to the party baby!

If you are a homosexual and feel the need to protect yourself JUST because you believe hate crimes are on the rise then by all means...do NOW what you should have done years ago. Protect yourself.

Are you talking about paper targets or real people? If it's the latter, I strongly disagree. A KKK member isn't automatically a violent person. An ISIS fighter, by it's very definition, is a violent person and in fact, a terrorist.

The FBI itself said that the reson for the increase in reported hate crimes is that there are more police departments entering their hate crime data into the survey rather than a natural rise of hate crimes.

Oh, ok. In that case, I don't see the problem of having people of any race as targets. As long as the target you're shooting at has a weapon, I don't care if the photo is a black, white, Hispanic, or from Mars.
