To Those Who Don't Live In The USA, Stop Criticizing Our Gun Rights

You don't win anything because you don't honestly believe the swill you are spewing.

and gun nutter is not a term that has any established meaning-sort of like the term "assault weapon"

and since most gun crimes are committed by felons and those criminally insane, not gun rights advocates, your pathetic and dishonest attempts to saddle gun rights advocates with the sins of felons and sociopaths is dishonest.

Gun Nutter makes as much sense a Bannerhoids...

...and Logic 101... one does not need to believe what they are arguing is true in order to win... unless you think that a lawyer needs to believe his client is innocent every time in order to defend him.

C'mon Harvard! That is some pretty simple stuff to understand.

so you argue for the sake of arguing, whether you believe it or not. I think some people have a word for that-I cannot recall it-has something to do with fishing :lamo

A debater?

Comparing the USA to Mongolia is ridiculous...
Alright, Jamaica and The Bahamas are both developed. Argentina is another developed country that has a higher murder rate than the USA. So is Russia and so is Uruguay.

There is a relationship... rights.
When did "gun nuts" ever say women shouldn't have a right to their bodies?

They are all Developing Nations... not Developed Nations, like the USA. That is the point.

I never said that Gun Nutters ever said that they shouldn't. I made a specific point.

Alright if you want to go by the map you provided French Guiana is a developed country and its got more than twice the murder rate per capita of the USA.

Wrong. French Guiana is literally a part of France. It is not an overseas territory... it is like Hawaii is to the USA... so it gets Frances economic status.

I don't know what you are talking about. I didn't bring up any such thing

Sure you did... yo usaid that you would vote for a person who favored gun rights...

There have been a bunch of people who've posted on here who are from countries other than the USA and they like to criticize the USA for having gun rights and they talk about how their country is so much safer since its got much stricter gun laws and much less gun deaths than the USA. Well here is what I have to say to all such people, you can stay in your country and be happy and stop criticizing my country and the fact that there's more in the way of gun rights in my country. Since you don't live here, since you're not an American citizen, how things are done in this country is none of your concern and none of your business. I don't criticize how your country is run, even though I might not agree with how some other countries are run, such as the UK or Japan, that doesn't bother me since they're doing it over there not over here. How you run your country is your business. How the USA is run is not your business and not your call.

It's not very smart to shut down opposing discourse, no matter where it comes from.

How do you remain aware of the opposing angles and perspectives that may still be reflected nationally or statewide in the US? How do you prepare to refute them?

"Know thy enemy"...so you can be prepared to fight back. Just because the dissent comes from outside the US doesnt mean it's not valid.

If its a part of France than it would be developed since France is a relatively developed country.

But aside from that if you only want to include developed countries you should realize that just because a country is undeveloped does not mean it has a high murder rate. Saint Helena is not a developed country and it has a very low murder rate. In some years there are zero murders in Saint Helena.

Also you have to look at population. The USA is one of the most populated countries in the world, with roughly 300 million people living in the USA(not including people who are here illegally) it certainly has a much higher population than all the developed countries in western Europe. And when a country has a higher population its going to have a higher murder rate whether its developed or not.

So no answer was your firm reply ..... fair enough

First of all its not true about your being 40 times less likely to be shot. I've lived in the USA all my life and I don't fear being shot.

But as I said before, your argument and your opinions haven't mattered since 1776.

That depends. If the dissent comes from the UK, then as I said before, their argument and opinions haven't mattered since 1776.

Also, things are done differently in other countries, cultures are different. What works in one country won't work in another.

You will never see people running with bulls in the USA and they would never allow it in the USA, yet they do it in Spain and they're not going to stop doing it any time soon, despite the fact that people get killed doing it.

The USA is not highly populated. Fact. Macau is most highly populated, with over 8,000 people per square mile. The USA has only 13 per square mile and ranks 175th

The USA is ranked 14th in the world murder rate chart. The worst European country (Britain) is 71st (with a population only a sixth of the USA) and Macau is at 178 with four murders

The European Union has a bigger population than the USA. Fact.

Im not talking about the entire EU, in case it flew over your head I am talking about each individual country in eastern Europe. The USA has a much greater population than each country alone in western Europe.

And while Im at it I will say this, in your home country of England you're very restrictive with guns but that's not how we do it here in the USA. There are lots of people in the USA who are totally competent such as me. I am capable of handling matches safely and Im capable of handling guns safely. Here in the USA we've got gun rights, wanna make something of it?

You make the mistake of assuming that a person from another country will be influenced by that they are from another country. Yet it is quite possible and has even been done that they will argue by the standards and laws of america if they are debating what happens in america.

Your response that because they are from another country then they do not know what happens in america is simply a poor excuse to deny what is being said.

The fact remains that people who aren't from the USA have no say in the matter of what rules we have in the USA.

The fact also is that debate sites are not a challenge to who makes the rules in the usa. They are however a place where anyone can discuss the reasons and logic behind those rules.

If i can manages to point out the flaws in american thinking that does not mean america must therefor take notice and make changes.
