To Those Who Don't Live In The USA, Stop Criticizing Our Gun Rights

yeah, we had no business trying to stop the Nazis from overrunning England or the Japanese raping Nanking and trying to wipe out Australia

You guys are so predictable with your dumb responses. Oh, point to one good example, ignore all the dictators we propped up (trained bin laden, provided weapons and support to Saddam), helped overthrow government (Iran) and helped put in brutal dictators (Pinocet in Chile), slaughtered millions in Vietnam, the list goes on and on.

Anyway, deflection aside, my comment made the point, that the OP's post is completely stupid. That people who don't live here can't comment on things happening here.

Whatever. The fact of the matter is that for people who don't live in the USA, whether or not we have gun rights in the USA is not their call.

you call yourself debate challenge, I think you need to learn what a debate actually is.

That's not what you said though, you said they can't comment. I pointed out the flaw, all you can respond with is "I don't agree" with nothing. That is not debate, you provided no argument or refutation.

Debate Challenge my ass, I think you left out a d a the end of your name

why do so many liberals hate America? no one says this country is perfect-in fact it took a real downturn when we had 20 years straight of Democrats running things, but the hate we see from many on the left gets really old

There have been a bunch of people who've posted on here who are from countries other than the USA and they like to criticize the USA for having gun rights and they talk about how their country is so much safer since its got much stricter gun laws and much less gun deaths than the USA. Well here is what I have to say to all such people, you can stay in your country and be happy and stop criticizing my country and the fact that there's more in the way of gun rights in my country. Since you don't live here, since you're not an American citizen, how things are done in this country is none of your concern and none of your business. I don't criticize how your country is run, even though I might not agree with how some other countries are run, such as the UK or Japan, that doesn't bother me since they're doing it over there not over here. How you run your country is your business. How the USA is run is not your business and not your call.

As one of those people i strongly object to your strawman approach.

It is not your right to a gun that i criticise it is the fact that americans also believe that stupidity is a right and the two rights combined is the problem america has with guns.

And you are correct, how things are done in your country is none of my concern. Unless of course it is your moron president doing ****witted things that do effect the rest of the world.

And no, you do not criticise my country. But that would most probably be because you along with many americans could not even find it on a map let alone criticise it. Also unlike many americans i have actually had the opportunity to study the american constitution in an educational environment and have an understanding of it. Where as americans would probably have to look up the meaning of an uncodified constitution and probably do not even know what the treaty of waitangi means . Go ahead, make a thread about my country. I need a good laugh.

This is a debate site and i will debate what ever subject i choose and need not your permission. This thread, your comments, are nothing more than the whinging of a loser who cannot rebut the arguments made and instead try the dishonest debate trick of attacking the debater instead.

Need to check your history!

AVG:The 1st American Volunteer Group were recruited starting on 15 April 1941, when an unpublished executive order was signed by President Roosevelt.-Wikipedia

Rape of Nanking:”The massacre occurred over a period of six weeks starting on December 13, 1937, the day that the Japanese captured Nanjing. During this period, soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army murdered Chinese civilians and disarmed combatants who numbered an estimated 40,000 to over 300,000, and perpetrated widespread rape and looting.”-Wikepedia

are you unaware that the Japanese aggression towards china is a major reason for both that volunteer group and the FDR embargo on Japan? Just as the battle of Britain-which was over essentially before the US became involved was a reason why the US ramped up for war?

why do so many foreigners want to restrict our gun rights?

How do you manage to move the goalposts with the ground frozen?

As i keep pointing out to you turtle you cannot find one statement by me saying you gun rights should be restricted. Instead it is always the case that when subjects about guns and rights come up people like you will ignore what is said and instead attempt to derail the conversation by insisting that your gun rights are being taken away.

You do not offer an argument to support gun rights, you merely use the two words as a mantra to drown out any conversation on the subject.

It is not your right to a gun that i criticise it is the fact that americans also believe that stupidity is a right and the two rights combined is the problem america has with guns.
You find stupidity everywhere and people who are stupid usually can't help it.

And you are correct, how things are done in your country is none of my concern. Unless of course it is your moron president doing ****witted things that do effect the rest of the world.
And gun rights in the USA do not affect your country.

And no, you do not criticise my country. But that would most probably be because you along with many americans could not even find it on a map let alone criticise it.
I can find your country, its not hard. New Zealand is an island country off the south west coast of Australia. It is separated from Australia by the Tasman Sea.

Also unlike many americans i have actually had the opportunity to study the american constitution in an educational environment and have an understanding of it.
Good for you. Most Americans who go to school have that opportunity too.

Where as americans would probably have to look up the meaning of an uncodified constitution and probably do not even know what the treaty of waitangi means .
The treaty of waitangi was a treaty between Great Britain and New Zealand. A big event in New Zealand history. Not something Im particularly familiar with since I've been much better educated on historical events in my country such as the Revolutionary War.

Go ahead, make a thread about my country. I need a good laugh.
Whats the point? Why would I want to make a thread about your country?

Not really. California is almost its own separate country. The government runs your life in CA. Not where I would choose to live.

you just gave an opinion on California.

that's funny.

How do you manage to move the goalposts with the ground frozen?

you're right-the rape of nanking happened before the US got involved-just as the Battle of Britain. But both actions were significant in the US's move towards war.

while I don't agree with his main point, I do note that I would bet there are far more foreigners who whine about our gun rights than there are Americans on say English or Australian boards lampooning the anti gun idiocy of those two nations.

And? I bet more americans bitch about the canadian healthcare on these forums than actual canadians. Doesn't mean they aren't allowed to express an opinion. Facts and logic have nothing to do with your current location. If my argument is correct or incorrect, it is correct or incorrect whether I'm taking a dump, being given the nobel prize or anything in between.

there are several posters who claim they never say anything about gun rights being restricted but they constantly talk about gun crime and gun deaths. So tell me-what are they insinuating

you just gave an opinion on California.

that's funny.

I suppose I did give an opinion when I said that I wouldn't choose to live there but I don't have an opinion on how things should be done in Cali, I don't really care how things are done there.

Awwwww poor baby

• Freedom of speech means that people are going to say things that you personally don't agree with and/or don't want to hear. Too bad. No one forces you to read their comments.

• I'd say you should actually listen to people who have very different experiences and perspectives. You don't have to agree with them, but it is beneficial not to go through life with blinders on.

• Last I checked we're all human. Meaning that it is entirely valid for citizens to criticize or comment on other nations. In fact, you're doing so right now by telling them to shut up.

We should also note that while you personally might refrain from commenting on other nations, the US constantly interferes in the affairs of foreign nations, and has other impacts. The US has military bases, military alliances, trade agreements all over the world. US companies sell and manufacture goods in a huge range of nations. Tourists from all over the world come to the US, and vice versa.

Whether you like it or not, the world is connected. Isolationism is no longer viable. If that means that foreigners will comment on US laws on internationally available web forums, then yeah, you're stuck with it.

I live in what's largely characterized as fly over country, although it's hardly Montana. You can say what you like about it, as long as you just keep on flying. And I have to say that you look simply marvelous up there, flying on over, too.

Actually, I have the right to say whatever the hell I want about it and to stop by there and still say whatever I want about it. The same that you have the right to say anything you like about the east/west coast and visit there if you like.

most of the time we hear and American "bitching about Canadian healthcare" it is because they are trying to prevent a similar situation from happening here. I doubt any of the anti gun foreigners are complaining about our rights because they are trying to stop their Governments from enacting a Second Amendment or something similar

Nah...they can keep commenting on gun rights. But I dont know why the **** they think I should care about the opinion of kneeling subjects that gave away their own rights to own firearms, are now being subjected to bans on kitchen knives, and are arresting and jailing their citizens for jokes or political comments that other people might find 'offensive'.

Nah...bleat on, little sheep. But no one gives a ****.

Fair point, but still meaningless to his point. They get to crap on the fact that we continually have kids shot up in schools and we get to crap on them for having a longer wait time for their knee replacement.

as I noted-when Americans criticize stuff like Canadian health care or England's gun bans it is because we don't want that crap happening here

when Eurosocialists or other foreigners whine about our gun rights it is not because they are concerned that our gun rights will come to their nation

BIG BIG difference
