loving guns more than children

I find it amusing how anti-2nd amendment trash tell us that no one wants to ban guns, no one wants to take your guns away, the NRA/gun owners are just paranoid or some other similar nonsense. While at the same time these same anti-2nd amendment trash are praising the countries that have enacted severe restrictions and or bans on civilian firearms.

What does the pro-2nd amendment trash say ?

What does the pro-2nd amendment trash say ?

That "The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home" (DC v Heller), that firearms "in common use for lawful purposes" (Heller) or "having a reasonable relationship to the preservation and efficiency of a well regulated militia" (US v Miller) are protected by the Second Amendment, that "the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding,” (Heller and Caetano v Massachusetts) and "The more relevant statistic is that “[h]undreds of thousands of Tasers and stun guns have been sold to private citizens,” who it appears may lawfully possess them in 45 States" (Caetano), affirming that "hundreds of thousands" of a type of weapon in the hands of citizens is sufficient for "common use".

We also know that there are only 16 states with Democratic control of both upper and lower legislative Houses, well short of the required 38 states to amend the Constitution.

The graph in post 12 shows a nice uptick in gun crimes. And guess what. It ain’t in Europe.

I guess you've missed out on all the terrorist attacks that have been happening.

He's trolling but I have actually heard left-wingers claim that GOP control of government causes more "social injustice" and "hopelessness" among those in the bottom of the economy and this causes them to engage in crime

I doubt calamity was making that point.

In contrast to the wording of the 2nd amendment to the Constitution of the USA which states that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed so that a "well regulated militia" can be maintained.

I guess the author(s) of the Bill of Rights were trashy gun grabbers ?

That's not what it said. Given the powers over the militia granted to Congress in Article 1, Section 8, how can the Second protect the arms of the militia?

lol...guns take away almost 40,000 lives a year.

Note the uptick since the Rightie nuts on SCOTUS removed all the restrictions.

And most of those are suicides and gang related homicides.

Pro 2nd amendment isn't trash. I find it very peculiar that you who are so much against the 2nd amendment chose to live in a country that has a 2nd amendment.

Since there is no militia anymore (and yes I know there's a bunch of guys in Texas who parade around a bit)....it's a bit of a moot point.

There is no longer an active militia

QED: There is no longer a need for the 2nd amendment.

Actually, by law there is a federal militia. See 10 USC 246. Various states also have a militia. And your logic is faulty. You're saying if we need a militia, then we need the Second Amendment. We don't have a militia, therefore we don't need the Second Amendment.

Symbolically, that's p -> q. ~p, therefore ~q. That doesn't hold. If p is false, we still have no idea of the truthfulness of q.

as long as there are criminals, and people who want to ban honest people owning guns, we should have state of the art small arms

I’m writing a scene where a jogger blows away the scumbag who tried to rape her. I’m looking at some easily concealed small weapons that carry a lot of punch. The gun has to be lightweight and secure so as not to interfere with a 100 pound woman running. And it needs to be concealable so scumbag couldn’t see it, even at near proximity.

I have another scene where I used the same weapon: a similarly, slight of build female cop working undercover takes out a child serial killer with it, pulling the piece out from under a summer dress. But, in that scene there was less need to overly define the gun. I focused mostly on the action and where she had it hidden.

In my new scene, the jogger learned of said gun from the cop who teaches her how to secure it on her person. So, much more detail is needed. I’m thinking a small holster tucked in the small of her back, at the moment. But I’m not sure.

Any ideas on what weapon fits that bill?

Here's an interesting op-ed to chew on.

Do we love our guns more than our children?

Yes, folks. Europe has something we do not. Sanity. And, the key to our insanity is made of steel and was designed to spit out lead.

Well, to be fair, most gun enthusiasts name their guns as they do their children. It's only human to forget the difference between the two, once in awhile.

I'd like to see more tolerance from you in the future, sir! Give gun nuts a break, man!

Well if Europe has something we do not, them how soon before gun grabbers can move there and be happy? Seems we fought against these freedom hating europeans before but some of their genes still got passed on. Unfortunately for the gun grabbing left, they can do absolutely nothing about it except leave. Strange how they focus on the gun and not the MS13 illegal hand holding it during a crime eh?

Don't know much about DNA. Do ya?

Says the crowd that routinely kills children before they are born. No need for names at all then eh? The hypicrisy in here is rank.

Oooooh! Goes right for the, "baby-killer" label in response to a joke (a masterpiece of a joke, actually).

Listen, friend. I admire your ability to laugh at yourself the same way I admire your sense of propriety - may you not walk into another light post and hurt yourself again today.

Fetuses aren't children. Right wingers have a hard time with definitions, I see.

Apparently, far more than you by orders of magnitude. As well as history. Congrats on post fail.

Says the guy who can't figure out where the European genes in Americans came from.

the little Glock 43 or 42 for example

Smith and Wesson Bodyguard in 380 is even smaller.
