[W:963] The Complete Moderate's Guide to Gun Control

people with special skills get fast-tracked to citizenship.

Not always...they do have their own criteria for getting a Green Card though.

Hi-tech US companies rely on this because the US education system is so bad at producing well educated enough people. US education is a business...if you pay a college they'll hand you a degree regardless of how well you perform.
You keep racking up "credits" until they reckon you have enough for a degree.

wrong-moderates on gun issues will compromise-allowing some guns to be banned. then some more and then some more

Gun issues is an exception

Guns kill people.

The right to own one is a blot on the US Constitution.

until you can guarantee governments and criminals cannot kill people, you will always be wrong

we don't want your nanny state desires over here-where only the government and criminals are armed.

LMAO

Yeah, you need your guns to prevent extremist government - did you know that the Nazis banned guns ???

Are you claiming to be an elected official representing your constituents....or are you prone to refer to yourself in the plural ?

how many people did not die of the flu or measles due to vaccines? how many did die due to reactions to vaccines>

An inherent right is different from instinct;

in·her·ent
[inˈhirənt, inˈherənt]

ADJECTIVE
existing in something as a permanent, essential, or characteristic attribute.
"any form of mountaineering has its inherent dangers" · [more]
synonyms:
intrinsic · innate · immanent · built-in · inborn · ingrained · deep-rooted · essential · fundamental · basic · implicit · structural · characteristic · organic · inseparable · [more]

VS

in·stinct
[instinct]

NOUN
instincts (plural noun)
an innate, typically fixed pattern of behavior in animals in response to certain stimuli.
"birds have an instinct to build nests" · "maternal instincts"
synonyms:
urge · appetite · desire · need · impulse · instinct

Though I can see how its application would have confused you.
And what does any of this drivel have to do with what I asked?

The right to own one is a blot on the US Constitution.
Actually it is a sign of freedom. No free man should be dictated by government or his fellow man what he can or can not own.
That society fails to adequately address issues should not be a reason to curtail the freedom of people who have done nothing wrong.

Other countries don't seem to think so. Many in the USA don't either.

You would be surprised at the number of things the USA bans you from owning....and what individual states ban you from owning.
(you might be surprised what some states DO allow you to own).

Again you refuse to understand the logic of gun control.
Gun control advocates get that you like your guns. You may even invest part of your manhood into them. You may convince yourself that they're a badge of freedom.

Gun control advocates would also accept that the vast majority of guns and gun owners would and will never use them illegally ?

So why ban them?

I tell you what, why don't you tell me?

I would expect you to say something like "because Democrats and liberals want to destroy the USA...they want to control us and beat us down and take our FREEDOM!" (in caps because I was conjuring the image of Mel Gibson at the end f the movie "Braveheart")

But calm down and try to think, logically, why do gun reform advocates want to take your guns away ?

Very few of them do, especially those who realize that it would require overturning the Second Amendment to do so.

Can you cite the people saying that or you are just taking the position of going along with the laws?

You would be surprised at the number of things the USA bans you from owning...
No, not really.

Again you refuse to understand the logic of gun control.
Can you quote me saying anything to that effect?

Gun control advocates get that you like your guns.
How the **** would you know what I like or dislike?

You may even invest part of your manhood into them.
Is it your lack of it that makes you make up crap?

I tell you what, why don't you tell me?

Well yes, at the level of intellect you are displaying you would.

The Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced.

The motivations and wording used by its writers are obsolete.
Isn't one of the founders quoted as saying we would have a revolution about every 20 years?

which is why we have things so screwed up. you apparently don't understand the amendment process
The process of changing the constitution isn't a point of order anyone was addressing, so your comment here seems random.

moderates are about appeasement based on what you say. Moderates are about people having no rights.
All evidence is to the contrary but you're welcome to your uninformed opinion :)

Are you willing to allow the police to invade your home without a warrant, seize your computer and phone and search them for contraband images and messages on a daily basis? Do you wish to allow the authorities to arrest you, not tell you what you're charged with and deport you immediately? Or, if the crime is serious enough, lock you up pre-trial for an undetermined amount of time until you confess your crimes?

wrong-moderates on gun issues will compromise-allowing some guns to be banned. then some more and then some more
I didn't realize Trump is a Moderate...or Reagan...

you are all over the place-you try to pretend you support gun rights but you really don't. what do you claim the second amendment does?

What's with the square?

what's with the evasion?
The answer to your question is the OP to this thread, 90% of my posts in it, and most of everyone else's posts. So what's the square, are you using some kind of font on your device that isn't rendering on the forum?

I have no idea what you are talking about.

Mentioning 'the RKBA is not a natural right because natural rights do not exist' is not a license to bring up other 'natural rights', which also do not exist. This thread occurs in the Gun Control sub-forum, which means it is not about rights other than those directly relating to guns.

Additionally, this thread, specifically, is about understanding the Moderate view on the RKBA. It's ok to disagree with Moderates, but this is not the thread to argue that disagreement. This thread is for an explanation, not apologetics.

There is no 'win' for anyone here. Not me, not you. This thread serves to provide an understanding of the Moderate view. Nothing else. There is no argument to be victorious over, there is nothing to 'confess' or 'admit' to, and since no political ground is being pursued, no ground can be won or lost. There is no policy up for a vote here, literaly nothing is at risk.

It might be if it really were about understanding the moderate view. Its more about disguising the liberal as the moderate one and going from there. What a farce.

See you keep saying that, but you aren't proving it...for example, quoting the Liberal Party website's published stance on guns and matching those views with quotes of my statements.

You're just rambling, which isn't even debate.
