Most Gun Deaths In Areas With Restrictive Gun Laws

the criminals wont turn in their guns lol (laugh out loud)

Neither will lots of good people, although at least by the law's definition the good people will no longer be good people, they will be criminals.

I would feel the same way about them as I do about Rosa Parks refusing to sit in the back of the bus.

When you try to take guns from good people, or if you make laws that ban guns that good people own, the good people are now criminals.

They put in a stop sign near my house. We call people who still blow thru there criminals

Hmmm... are they criminals for simply owning the cars.. that could go through the stop sign.??

No idea what you are on about. There are cars that are not street legal if that is what you mean

Well.. if we were using a valid analogy for gun control making citizens criminals...

Then it wouldn't be "put in a stop sign near my house and if they blow it they are criminals"..

A valid analogy for a gun control law making citizens criminals.. would be making people criminals for owning cars... because they could go through the stop sign.

Does your town require drivers to register or undergo a background check each time they get a tank of gas? Are people required to wait 7 days between purchasing a car and being able to go pick it up from the dealership? When the car is at home must both the tires and gas tank be stored in a different areas of the house for everyone's safety ? When not in use does your town require either a "boot" placed on the wheels or "the club" placed in the stearing column to make it harder for unauthorized people using it? Has your town looked into making it a crime to loan your car to family Or friends?

If not what does a stop sign have to do with gun control, they are not similar issues at all

The point remains....criminals do not obey the law.....that is not a reason not to have a law that makes it harder for them to break and not get caught

Fine make laws that punish criminals for breaking the laws, not laws harassing law abiding citizens whom choose to exercise their rights.

Why does that only apply to gun laws? Immigration laws, traffic laws, tax laws all affect law abiding people the most. Somehow gun laws have to be special. Wrong

Then prove it

Ok I never said gun laws should be different than tax laws, traffic laws, or immigration laws on this thread. If I did link the quote and I will sincerely offer an apology if not than it is you who should applogise for claiming I did.

Changing a speed limit has no impact on any law abiding citizen from keeping a car in my garage it only effects those who speed. I don't even have to register that car in my locality unless I drive it on public roads. There is no mandatory waiting period from when one receives a W2 and can start to file taxes . You don't have to have a license or take any training classes to buy a car or pay taxes.
You want a different special standard of laws by advocating registration, waiting periods and traning requirements requirements on other threads before one can purchase a gun. Therefore everything you claimed in your post was wrong

Lets take speed limits. A speed limit affects me the most because I am law abiding. I need to get places quickly but I am hampered because I follow the speed limit. The criminal is not hampered at all.....he can go as fast as he wants. So don't tell me we need laws that only affect criminals......that is simply foolish

Ok let's take speed limits.

You get a Corvette never take it off your property or in a public area. A speed limit decrease change doesn't effect you owning that car. You are not a criminal for owning a fast car nor does that speed limit apply to how fast you can drive on your property.

Now let's take a magazine ban.

You buy a GLOCK that holds 17 rounds. Never take it off your property or in a public area. They impose a magazine limit. That does effect you owning that gun and you would be a criminal even on your property

For them to be the same you would need to reduce the Speed limit, make it illegal to own a fast car with the ability to exceed the limit. If gun laws were like speeding than a gun with any magazine could be legally owned And used on your property

Dude why do you keep changing the argument. Your argument was you want laws that only impact criminals and not the law abiding. I show you that is not true in most of the legal system. Why are you changing the subject?

This is the post I am responding to. Tax laws, speed limits and immigration laws HARRASS LAW ABIDING CITIZENS TOO.

Slow your role sparky. This whole exchange started when you brought Stop Signs in a gun debate. Talk about changing an argument.

If that dumbassery wasn't brought into it I would of passed this thread on by.

Yeah you got nothing. I accept your defeat

None was offered but I will take that as you no longer wish to loose this argument. You lost fair and square like you normally do. Then you claim victory. The bipity boopity or other crap is usually what comes next.

I've never seen you win an argument with anyone It could of happened before I got her maybe and never expect to see it either.

No I don't wish to loose it. Lol

You got crushed. You can't even follow the argument. You got whipped. You should be embarrassed. Lol

I am embarrassed for you thinking you won when you lost. You've never won a debate on gun control.

The only thing your beating tonight is in your pants

Not until you can prove it

The murder rate in Carlisle is 5.2 per 100,000 people. Now we're talking about all types of murder, not just murder with guns but any kind of murder. The firearm homicide rate in Philadelphia is 15.8 per 100,000 people. Since the 5.2 murder rate isn't limited to just murder with guns Carlisle's murder rate with guns is even lower than that vs Philadelphia's murder rate with guns at 15.8. Clearly there is more gun crime and gun murders per capita in Philadelphia which is much more restrictive with guns than Carlisle.
