Urban areas would sound like the wild west every single day, where as more rural areas would see the occasional one spouse killing the other over a meatloaf dispute.

The wild west wasn't like what its made out to be in the movies. Yes, lots of people carried guns but there weren't shootouts every five minutes the way Hollywood likes to make it seem.

Criminal? What about regular people who get mad at each other? Every single one of them could control themselves and not start shooting?

You're an adult aren't you? We're all adults. We should be able to properly handle guns and control ourselves when we're around guns.

We should all be able to trust each other that we can board a plane without a bomb too

It is a figure of speech that everyone else but you seemed to understand.

That’s reality. The overwhelming majority of armed people control their emotions and don’t shoot at each other. In fact armed people speaking to other armed people tend to have a much more polite conversation than when neither or only one is armed. Its amazing what equalizing potential force does to ones attitude.

But only a third of the people in the US own guns and much less carry every day. I am asking you to imagine if EVERYONE was carrying all the time....you know all those people you see at walmart who are so good at controlling their emotions....if all those people were armed at every minute of the day down in the trailer park or at a nascar event. They would all suddenly become masters of their emotions? LOL

No, what many people don't seem to understand, including you, is the wild west portrayed in the movies was not like how the real west was back in the old days.

Imagine if every person in the US had a gun at all times. What do you think that would do to the total gun death numbers? Be honest

There would probably be little or no change. The wicked will still do wickedly with or without guns. People need to turn to Jesus, not the Constitution, if they want real change to bring peace and stability to civilization.

You're right about that. Particularly when only one is armed. For instance, police encounters.

There would be a lot at first, and then general assholery would drop and shootings would follow suit.

If I am to take you literally when you say "every person," and include people untrained in gun safety or simply unable to understand of the consequences of bearing a firearm like young children, the mentally handicapped, or the criminally insane, gun deaths would certainly go up. This is like asking if literally everyone in the United States was put behind the wheel of a car, would automotive deaths increase. Obviously the answer is yes.

You are free to define it any way you wish. I was actually think every adult since many are against universal BC's that would ensure they are not prohibited persons.

Well, if we are talking about every adult who would not be prohibited from keeping a firearm carrying an open or concealed firearm? As in no one lacking capacity OR having been convicted of a felony? If those are the parameters, I think violent gun deaths would probably go down slightly, but I think accidental gun deaths would rise significantly.

Again right now there is little support on here (in my opinion) to ENSURE EVERYONE that buys a gun is not a prohibited person. But as I said you are free to define it in any way you wish so thank you for addressing the op directly.

My pleasure, vegas giants.

way less deaths. everyone would know that the person they are beefin with has a piece. be far fewer deaths.

Then why is it developed countries with fewer guns have fewer gun deaths?

I'm assuming you mean lawful and of age 17 up. As Robert A. Heinlein put it " An armed society is a polite society". Crime would become a rather dangerous enterprise.

I always wonder what he meant by that. We are the most armed country in the world.....are we the most polite?
