You're the one who wont come up with an explanation as to why Oakland and Stockton have such violent crime and are surrounded by strict gun control at least as much as NYC.

Could be because of good law enforcement, could be because of good education, could be a combination of reasons. Obviously its not because of strict gun control and because of being surrounded by strict gun control as demonstrated in the examples of Stockton and Oakland.

Stockton and Oakland only have crime due to poor enforcement. Its not the laws.
