Don't I know it. LOL
Obviously not...you seem make them your core competencies.
Don't I know it. LOL
You really can't read, can you. THE 2ND AMENDMENT IS NOT DEPENDENT ON ANY MILITIA, NOR IS THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS DEPENDENT UPON THE SECOND AMENDMENT.
I bolded it and capped it for you...but I am pretty sure it still won't sink in.
and AGAIN, what are YOU doing to correct the situation concerning your unorganized militia...besides trying to use it as an excuse to prevent people from exercising their god-given rights?
Obviously not...you seem make them your core competencies.
That is simply an opinion. You or I do not have the authority to provide official training for the unorganized militia. That is the role of congress as specified in the constitution
Yes.....yes.....go personal. I can smell the victory. LOL
I am just making an observation of your behavior. What you smell is your own bulltwinkle.
My opinion is backed up by the writings of those who wrote and ratified the Bill of Rights. The 2nd Amendment does not direct the Congress to do anything, it is a prohibition on the federal government from infringing upon a pre-existing right. If you think they have fallen down on their duty to train and equip the militia(s), which they have, bring it up with them, it is not a 2nd Amendment issue.
Your opinion on my authority is incorrect. Show me in the Constitution where citizens are required to gain some kind of authority to train the militia. Check and mate, cupcake. Might want to get with the Romper Room Do-Bee and learn some basic civics.
The founders were quite clear they wanted a well regulated militia. The meaning of well regulated has no doubt to anyone that has read the federalist papers. They wanted a well regulated militia....and we do not have one. Congress has the authority to regulate the militia. They need to do their job.
Define "well-regulated" as intended by the Founders.
In good working order and well trained. Clearly this is not our unorganized militia. That is simply a fact
Define "in good working order" and "well trained". Feel free to use the Army terms of Task, Condition and Standard.

Do you like that standard? Do you think if our militia followed it we would have a well regulated militia?
Those terms describe terms of the training, not the training itself. For example, I presume marksmanship would be a desired skill, with subskills like immediate actions on a misfire. Task would be safely clearing the misfire. Condition might be "given" one M4 carbine and two magazines. Standard: in ten seconds, identify a stoppage and clear the firearm using all steps in the process and with the firearm ready to fire upon completion.
I will say this. Assign a general to be in charge of the unorganized militia and let him present the standard. I guarantee you he will not say our current unorganized militia is well trained, disciplined and in good working order
So you don't have an idea? Do you think two different generals would have two different ideas? Does the general actually have any power to change the militia?
I absolutely think we should have military experts weigh in on this issue and determine the standard. My point is clear.....having absolutley no standard has left us with a unorganized militia that is a mess
I'm sure they have different ideas now on how to train the current army. But they do seem to come up with a consensus ....don't they? They could present that to Congress.
Hey....we got a plan here!
Generals don't go to Congress with suggestions on changing laws.
I was both a company and battalion training officer. I have some level of expertise and I understand how to conduct and measure both individual and unit training.
Nothing can be done until Congress approves. Let the bee out from under your bonnet until then. You of course realize that the chance of Congress passing a law to muster all 120 million adults between age 18 and 45 approaches zero, right? Of everything you keep pushing, this truly is tilting at windmills.
They are my windmills to tilt at. We could start small....just some basic weapons training. In order to be more regulated in our militia as our founders wanted of course.
Well, it's not a gun control issue. You might want to move it to the Military forum.
