Colorado Has the Right Idea in Stopping School Shootings

You mean like the armed cop at the Parkland shooting?
If they taught students to arm themselves with keys, cellphones, books, or whatever and chuck them at the shooter and then charge the asshole and beat him down, they would stand a far better chance of surviving than waiting for the cops to respond, considering history.

Lets see, I've been to the shooting school Front Sight in Pahrump NV many times and every day there are thousands of people there and everybody's got guns. As for doing the math, thousands of people who've all got guns would equal thousands of guns. There are also lots of children that go to Front Sight, lots of families with children go there and they have lots of classes and activities for children. I would say its not uncommon for hundreds of children to be at Front Sight. Time on the range is eight hours a day and that's not counting breaks taken for lunch and for classroom lectures.
So, hundreds of children around thousands of guns for more than eight hours a day and for the twenty plus years that Front Sight has been in existence so far there has been zero children's deaths. As a matter of fact there have been zero deaths, period, at Front Sight so there you have it. Whether or not its safe to have guns around kids depends on how the guns and kids are handled and whose handling the guns, not on whether or not there's guns around kids in the first place.

Most kids in the USA aren't killed in math class, or any class.
Your math sucks. We are talking about millions of children for billions of man hours around non professionals. Try again

My god it has really come to this

My only concern with this is a mole doing this and unloading on students.

Or we could do what works in every other developed country....guess what that is? LOL

Gun control. yeah, i heard that tripe before. However do you have evidence? What specific measures would prevent future mass shootings?

One exception does not dismiss the entire argument. Shortly after the shooting, there was another cop that stopped an active shooter by shooting him.

I have a whole lot more evidence for my plan than for yours

Will someone could unload on the school anyway and we've seen it happened several times.

I don't see the correlation between that and my concern?

Which would simply be an active shooter...and in that case do you think the "Gun Free Zone" sign is going to stop the shooter? Or the cops that are 20 minutes away? Hells bells, son...what you suggested is what is being discussed in the first ****ing place. It happens very very VERY infrequently..but in the off chance it DOES happen...how will the rest of the school respond?

What suggestion are you referring to?

Non professionals? If you watched the video than you would know that carrying in school would require the person carrying to undergo special training and to pass a test.

OOOOOOOOOH.....a test! LOL

They would not be professionals

Uh.....in many places it already does

Having the kind of strict gun control in the USA that they have in other developed nations would never work in the USA simply because it would never get passed in the USA. In order for laws to work they have to exist in the first place. The USA has too much of a gun culture for such gun control to ever be passed.

I don't see the correlation between that and my concern?

Your concern is that someone carrying a gun to school will get angry and kill people Nothing Stops them from doing that now.

The only law that exists is one that forbids people from carrying a gun for defensive reasons. If I've had enough and I don't care about the laws enough to go murder people I'm not going to worry about a law that says I can't have a gun in the school will you can't enforce that law as we've seen time and time again.

A teacher can shoot a kid they are scared of or that has a toy gun or that has a knife but they don't understand use of force or a thousand other ways to kill a kid BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TRAINED COPS
