It's harder to get guns into NYC because they are surrounded by gun control states.

PA is not that far from NYC. Its easy to drive, or take a train from NYC to PA and back.

Some gun control works so you're partially right. When you buy a gun you fill out some paperwork and go through a NICS check to see if you've got a criminal record or are otherwise prohibited from getting guns. The system works quite well so its right to say that some gun control works. However, there is some kinds of gun control that would never work. Some people have talked about the kind of gun control in the UK or Australia and how we should have it here. The gun control in the UK and Australia would never work in the USA.

Some gun control is constitutional; other gun control is not. Every developed nation bans some classes of guns, bans that would not be constitutional in the US and that you do not support. Until that occurs, you can't compare the US to any country without Constitutional protections for the individual right to keep and bear arms. It's a factor that has to be accounted for. Do you even science? Wait, I know the answer to that.

"Gun control" as a term without details is worthless. We have gun control.

YOU do not get to decide what is constitutional except among your friends at the bar. YOU have an opinion.
