Every once in a while it's a good idea to revisit Jim Jefferies critical analysis of gun ownership in the US. It comes in 2 parts and I present them for edification and enjoyment:

Part 1

Part 2

So where is part 3 at? I was really laughing my ass off. He is really funny.

America is a gun junky and there is no cure.

This explains quite a bit about where some folks get their ideas about the 2A.

Sounds about right.

Yep, because to a savvy comedian sad + gun = suicidal, angry + gun = homicidal and really angry + gun = mass shooter. Simply remove the guns and sad, angry and really angry all then = rainbows and unicorns.

Sounds about right.

it does to those ignorant about Constitutional theory or the concept of a limited government

Yeah, like the silly gun nut crowd.

gun nuts are people who have inane or insane ideas about guns. Most of them are in the gun banner crowd

No, it’s the anti gun people who believe like Hitler, that they could keep the country from changing by creating an enemy. In Germany’s case it was the Jews. Here in the US it’s gun owners, whites, conservatives, church going people, Trump voters, people who object to abortion, and people who eat chicken in the wrong restaurant.

All they lack is the military power to pull it off.

I love Jim Jefferies, and ive seen these before they are halarious
but these COMEDY skits and Jokes have ZERO impact on my support of the second amendment. Why would it, theres nothing in it that is moving in anyway in a REALITY based fashion to impact it
There are things he says i completley agree with but they are not blanket form and reality based.

The ARE reality based; every argument that the gun crowd makes for owning weapons in the sequence and Jeffferies' analysis makes them look as silly as they really are. Those idiot arguments have much less to do with the second amendment than you may think, and that's what Jefferies points out.

Nope LMAO
they FACTUALLY are not, they are subsets of POSSIBILITIES and FEELINGS

And the free press.....ask trump. Lol

The press is still free to treat the aforementioned groups as enemies of our civilization.

The problem is trump says they are the enemy of the people. How very.......facist

someone who thinks shotguns are rifles or that 10+ round magazines are for "warfare only" and claims that the AR-15-never issued to any military branch in the USA is still a weapon of war is not someone whose opinions on the validity of a comedian's silly comments on guns has any value to those of us who understand these issues

Why do you choose to own military grade firearms? Which part of Jim's schtick applies to you?

So are the arguments for owning.

except for that pesky fact that its a constitutionally protected right

Ill support any gun law that punishes criminals and gun crimes and also at the same time dont punish me, endanger my family and empower criminals. And it would be great if that law will actually do something to impact gun crime. Its very rare that people ever suggest those types of laws.

So until those things are focused on and while the 2nd exists most other things are going to be a losing battle and have no real validity.
