If Guns Are The Reason For School Shootings

Name a country that has solved this problem without gun control. The answer is obvious

1.So you are saying you want semiautomatic firearms banned and owning single shot firearms turned into a government granted privilege?

2.How many mass shootings a year did each of those countries have prior to passing their draconian gun control laws?

3.From 1885 when the semiautomatic firearm was invented till about Columbine mass shooting happened how many mass shootings a year did we have?

Name a country in your list whose gun control doesn't involve gun bans.

Nope. I said gun control.

That's stupid. In the 80s AR-15s and the like were perfectly legal, and someone executed could have been executed with any firearm.

The murders admitted they thought it would throw the police off their trail if they made it look like an execution type shooting.

Yes, they were stupid and thankfully the police caught them thanks to a tip from the taxi driver who remembered the passenger on the hot summer day wearing a long leather coat and dropping him off at the building the news reports showed was the building where my husband’s cousin disappeared from when he went missing before his body was found.

What kind of gun control do you think those countries enacted? They enacted bans on semiautomatic firearms and made owning a single shot firearm into a state granted privilege. Also it doesn't really prove your point that gun control works when there was very little to no mass shootings to be begin with in those countries that enacted those draconian gun control laws.

You can not name a country on planet earth that has lax gun laws and low gun deaths. Its can't be done

(1) or gun bans. Do you or do you not support the gun bans in those countries as part of effective gun control?
(2) It doesn't matter what other countries do. That's not part of Constitutionality, efficacy or enforceability here in the US.

The US has gun bans. And they are constitutional, effective and enforceable.

You said this was in the early 80s. I am not aware of any assault style weapons that were banned then. I do know during the Clinton administration there was an assault weapon ban but that was in effect from 1994 to 2004.

Sone states that issue CCWs do require some training but usually its marginal at best.

Sorry , I made a typo the murder was in 2003.

Wow , I went back and checked I did say 1980s ....what a senior moment I had.

We already have. There are over 2000 gun laws on the books.

Than let us enforce them. We have to keep better records from both military and law enforcement into one shared data base of every person who has lost their right to own a firearm.

That plan does not work anywhere on earth

No one is stopping them from being enforced.

They aren’t very effective or enforceable in south Chicago. One only has to look at how many bump stocks have been turned in, in States and localities that banned them, to see how well they are enforceable.

Fully auto weapons made after 1986 are effectively banned. How many are used in south Chicago in a crime? Bingo

How many fully automatic firearms were used in south Chicago before the Hughes amendment?

I agree. And if we can do a good job at enforcing laws than we wouldn't need 2000+ gun laws.
