Developed or Undeveloped, Why Does it Make a Difference?

Varus should have been able to recognize the situation, and realize that there can be, no taxation without Roman aqueduct and Roman road, Representation.

all you talk about are laws harassing people WHO AREN'T harming anyone with guns

those who do-there are severe felony sentences already available as punishment

stupid response/ cherry picking aberrations is worthless. but you know that

Please; dude, we're talking about guns and gun violence as a problem, thus the regulations and restrictions.

You're just avoiding the subject.

:2wave:
No we're talking about violence and violent crime as a whole. When it comes to such stuff I don't single out gun violence.

Then show us a country with low violent crime and lax gun laws. And evidence

They are different countries in different places, but if countries are going to be compared then it makes a lot more sense to compare countries with similar means.

Then those Congolese child soldiers with AK-47s strapped to themselves must be very wealthy...

Well the key is the guns are being provided to the child soldiers by the warlords who do have money and resources

If gun control works in developed country after country over and over again of all different cultures.....that should tell you something. If you can not find one country on earth with lax gun laws and low gun deaths....that should tell you something. You can choose to be blind to the obvious.....or you can open your eyes

Well what's your definition of "lax gun laws" and "low gun deaths"

Canada, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Chile, and Finland are all countries which have gun laws stricter then the US, but more lenient then the international average, and relatively low gun crime, all are considered developed countries.

Are you saying you would accept their gun laws here? If so am all onboard

Because you're hiding from the facts.

No you're hiding from the fact that gun crime isn't the only kind of violent crime and you're hiding from the fact that killing somebody by some other means is just as bad.

So his point about poor people not affording guns is irrelevant because more poverty will mean more broken families and more child soldiers being exploited by warlords.

well no, because in that case the poor cannot "afford" guns, they are being given guns and are basically the established military of that region.

I don't think gun crime statistics care whether those children bought the guns themselves or were given by warlords.

However gun deaths at the hands of military/police/security forces are never used as a political argument for civil gun control, and if a warlord is governming an area his child soldiers are practically the military.

Note how when Brits discuss all the gun massacres in their country that led to controls, Derry and Bogside are never mentioned.
