An examination of the NRA's argument against registering guns

I've got an extra pistol lower kit. I've been thinking about a 10.5" 5.56mm upper. PSA has them on sale right now, and the .30 cal suppressor would still work with, albeit with some loss of efficiency.

I like PSA's stuff.

the vast majority of actual street cops support armed private citizens and oppose crap like magazine limits or assault weapon (lol) bans

Posse duty is just "one step below militia service". Simply registering your AR should enable local law enforcement to simply "put the bad guys in the position of the South at Gettysburg."

Law enforce can simply proclaim; stop being obnoxious instigators of Chaos over Order, or we will summon the posse, with (Wellness of) Regulators Assemble!"

And, the bad guys won't know which way to turn; Posse could be coming from all directions."

Not having to worry about keeping and bearing Arms in the public.

I don't worry about keeping and bearing arms in public. While I always carry concealed, I also carry openly from time to time.

I don't bother with an AR-15. I prefer my Glock and my 1911. Don't see the point of walking down a city street with an AR-15. If someone wants to do that, let 'em. It's legal to carry one down the street, as far as federal law is concerned.

Posse comitatus, is also the common law.
