Again true, and still not the same as full blown registration, which is highly unlikely to become law or actually enforceable.

Not unlikely at all

True, but that is not the same as Registration, many firearms are bought through private sales so there is no form to be retained. That said, does anyone actually believe all those forms are being retained for 20 years, very doubtful and for many reasons such as going out if business or the FFL dieing, etc.

if you go out of business I believe you are required to send the forms to the ATF

Simple Question:
If the Federal Government made it Law that all Privately owned Firearms must be Registered and you had six months to comply with you comply or not?

Of course. The question is however, for those who said "no"; what would you do?

worry about jet ratting them out.

have you figured out what a rifle is yet, jet?

you mean the business owner? the ATF will come and get the records.

If they still exist, family and/or friends tend to dump old paperwork, been there, done that, several times. Just curious how does the A T F know someone with a FFL died, by the time SS knows and enters the data months if not years can go by.

Umm, not comply. It is not up to the person to prove that they do or do not own a firearm, that burden falls upon those that claim that they do.

I would absolutely not comply.

that's why gun banners want registration =-to shift the burden on good people

They would also have make private sales subject to background checks, neither of which is going to happen or are enforceable, they do not grasp the fact that many people are not sheep like they are, it is not within their skill set.
