There have been at least 288 school shootings in the United States since January 1, 2009.That's 57 times as many shootings as the other six G7 countries combined.

But hey...it's just kids so....

PLUS - look at all the ultra-violence happening in those other G7 countries on account of how the general population there

CAN'T DEFEND THEMSELVES

At some point somebody in the government will actually TRY to do something to help save the lives of our children.

Only question is: How many more dead kids will it take before they are willing to try?

You know, besides all that wonderfully helpful PRAYING.

What is your proposal to stop this?

The US cannot be compared to the other G7 countries. Different population, culture, values and gun laws. And school shootings continue to be statistical anomalies.

Of course the US can't be compared, those other countries have a sane, rational populace.

Ahhhh, American exceptionalism.

Nobody murders their kids better,
makes me feel sad for the rest
Nobody kills quite the way we do
Baby, you're the best!!

Y’know, those that sit there and blame the guns used rather than the complete cowardly waste of oxygen who committed the offense can kiss my Glock. When was the last time the condemnation for the killer was worse or more severe than condemnation for, say, the NRA? Instead, it’s almost as if the shooter himself is just another victim of a readily available gun.

We’ve sure conquered and occupied, like, all the space in your head. Oh well, it’s not like it was being used for anything else.

We’ve sure conquered and occupied, .

You know this to be true so why do you always only present inane, totally ludicrous "arguments". That is just so American, the gullible ones who swallow the propaganda.

But this is about Americans killing their children and a lot of them being very comfortable with that. This too fits the violence nature that is deeply embedded in US culture.

"You've got to understand that the United States is and has always been a war-loving nation, a warring nation. But one with a smile. We've learned how to put a twist on it so we can feel good about doing what other nations have done that we consider to be evil." -- John Stockwell

You seem to be very comfortable with American kids being killed.

And you seem positively giddy about it.

Your replies just get sillier and sillier. I'm for doing whatever it takes to stop this one of many American madnesses.

When do you start blaming THOSE who were very comfortable killing American kids and stop insulting responsible law-abiding gun owners?

Oh brother. Not another one who misplaces the blame onto responsible law abiding gun owners.
Do people like you ever tire of presenting your intellectually dishonest arguments?

Debate 101-do not insult the reader.

When do you start blaming THOSE who were very comfortable killing American kids and stop insulting responsible law-abiding gun owners?

If you actually had the capability of looking at facts, figures, graphs, evidence, ... you would be able to see that it is the sick nature of [some/many] of those "responsible law-abiding gun owners" that makes the US have "57 times as many school shootings as the other major industrialized nations combined".

Many of these other nations also have responsible law-abiding gun owners. The lamest, sickest argument is that guns are necessary to "protect our freedoms". Pure drivel.

Huh, in that your contempt for Americans is well established, I wonder what other interest you’d have in seeing US citizens disarmed. ;)

30 years ago, we had the same number per capita and availability of firearms. More...weapons were commonly left in open gun racks. So ask yourself...what is different? Is it the guns, or is it society? Is it a degradation of society? Is it a devaluing of life? Is it a collapse of morality, values, and standards?

You want to blame the guns...because you know what is really causing it...and you know it makes you look unpretty.

the gun haters on this board constantly deny their goal is to harass honest gun owners. the hate in their posts belie their protestations

he hates the politics of responsible honest gun owners and hates the people we vote into office

The gun rubbers on here do not care. It's not their kids so not their problem.

The reason you cant compare US to other countries is the categories we use are different. In the US if a drug deal gone wrong happens in a parking lot or at a park connected to the school at 2am and someone fires a gun its considered a school shooting. Or for instance when the a Dallas gun man at a BLM rally decides to murder 5 cops then runs to a College building and dies, its considered a school shooting. Other countries don't consider it a school shooting so we are not comparing the same numbers.

Cut it in half.

144 in US.

I guess that makes it all better?

Just keep praying.
That'll solve EVERYTHING.

More accurately divide by 20 and your looking at a more realistic number. How does it compare then?
