Oh Look, Another AR-15 Shooting

Oh please you would not even understand the basic commands of a fire team. I actually would. You are NOT well regulated

Golly. I suppose 20 years in the military and 7 deployments in combat zones has left me woefully unprepared.......

Individuals. Well trained in the use of their weapons and well stocked. The rest is putting them to use where/when needed.

If you think that is all a modern militia needs the only army you served in was the Salvation Army. Lol

I think the organized militia at the state level is well trained as an organized militia and the 120 million strong unorganized militia as an armed force, well trained I. The use of their weapons and well stocked and capable of augmenting the organized militia if and when it is needed to preserve the free states makes for a formidable force.

I think that is nuts and would not let one person in our unorganized militia be up range of me. They are not a militia.....they are a mob

Well can you point to the part of the 2nd A that grants the State the right to deny felons, the mentally ill firearms, and set age requirements??? Why would a citizen have to petition to have his natural rights restored???

I'll state the obvious, NO RIGHT is without limits or free of restrictions. The debate is where those limits 'stop'.... :2wave:

Now back to your point-

Fact the militia showed up to battle the Redcoats with CIVILIAN grade muskets. They lacked the 'cosmetic' feature of a bayonet attachment point. So sad when you have to face a British regiment with them... ;)

It was the State that furnished the MILITARY grade muskets (supplied by France in large part) and they took them back up to be stored in armories for their 'well regulated' militia that didn't fair so well at the Battle of Bladensburg (also referred to as the Bladensburg Races)

So from the very beginning of our nation's struggle to gain independence the citizen militia which brought what they owned brought a CIVILIAN grade weapon to face well trained troops armed with MILITARY grade weapons.

The results varied greatly- as much as due to generalship and discipline than the grade of weapon used... :peace

You either aren’t thinking, don’t believe what you are arguing, or are an idiot. Felons...murderers, rapists, etc are often released not because they are rehabilitated but because they have merely served their time. The law has allowed that those citizens lose certain rights because of their actions. You THINK you are making some sort of relevant and clever argument with regard to felons and gun rights. You aren’t. You are presenting yourself as childish and immature as the people that offer the oh so idiotic argument “Well then why can’t citizens own NUKED? HUH? Tell me that mr pro gun rights guy!!!” Your arguments are beneath you. Unless they aren’t. If that’s the case...I’m TRULY disappointed in you.

Personal attack??? Your opening is beneath you, or perhaps not...

The law???? The law allows the government to regulate the sale of firearms, the type of firearm, and set the age a person may purchase a firearm...

The point I'm trying to make is the rabid right's main argument is as fake as a hooker's smile-

"What part of shall not infringe" don't the 'gun' grabbers understand????

Fact is all but a few really out there 'gun' rubbers agree the State (law) does get to set limits on the 2nd A.... :doh

The argument is where does the State's ability to limit the 2nd A end... :peace

(but glad you dropped the military grade weapon thing)

Its ironic that in the moment you claim personal attack you admit your 2A argument regarding felons is stupid.

You and the VG are wonderful. You bleat on about gun rubbers and all your other blather about 'gun nuts'...and then you both come to the table with these ridiculous and idiotic arguments.

Back in the box with you.

I see you have abandoned your arguments about the unorganized militia being well regulated. Retreat was your best option. Lol

Never said 'gun' nuts, so you can stop projecting... ;)

I didn't say felons should or shouldn't possess firearms (and did point out the other ways the State infringes- mentally ill who have committed no crime and minors)- just ask the rabid 2nd A ranters to admit the State has every right to infringe on the right to keep and bear arms so their fanatic and for the most part not thought through wailing about- "What part of shall not infringe don't the grabbers understand!" is bogus

My argument isn't idiotic- it points out the double standard of the 'gun' rubber arguments-

You do accept infringements- well the one's you agree with anyways... :peace

Just show me where your laws are working. They don't work because they can't work. I thought even a gun rubber could figure that out. I was wrong

You are not a serious poster are you?

Since when did firearms become a left vs. right issue? I went my entire life without that being the case until the last year or 2. It shouldn't be a party vs. party issue.

EDIT; I guess it has been a party issue for a little while now. Republicans and Independents like myself seem to be the vast majority of gun owners.
It shouldn't be a left vs right issue, however it has been at least since Bill and Hillary stunk up the White House in the early 1990s.
