Shooting Outside my Hotel

You don't care because your answer is pass more laws that only effect people that follow existing laws. Your second answer "lock them up" ignores that is what happens when criminals ignore current laws.

What will more laws change?

If all those gun owners were following existing laws, all these criminals would not have guns. Maybe you should have thought controlling your own. Now, we'll do it.

Ban guns; lock up anyone caught carrying one.

what will you do when many people would rather fight back then passively go to prison? are you willing to risk your life to lock them up or are you going to hope others with guns do your dirty work?

ban the trolling

Then why are you doing it?

I just went through some crap thanks to stupid guns. Of course, you could not care less because all you care about is the stupid guns.

Why should my rights be infringed just because grown men want to play with guns? Screw that. Ban the son of a bitches.

Cool, while you're at it, ban drugs too. Those are illegal in Arizona, so I'm sure there's none available for sale.

Nope. Your gun rights have infringed on my right not to be around gunshots once too ****ing often.

Literally not a right and stop hanging around bad places/people

So...law abiding gun owners provide the guns? Then you tell me to think?

Come on Dude!

Hmm....maybe I'll join the gun grabber brigade. That actually sounds like a worthwhile profession.

Every gun in a criminal's hands started it's "life" by being purchased, owned and carried in the hands of a legal gun owner. Correct?

I have more right to pursuit of happiness than anyone has to a gun.

wonder how this could happen given California has restrictive gun laws for 50+ years

You of all people?
Good God, you really DO live in some Right wing dream world where you're convinced that no one is allowed to have guns in California.
That is pathetic.
Please, do yourself a favor, if you're going to be all gung-ho about guns, stop with the ridiculous partisan hackery.
Yes, California restricted OPEN CARRY laws years ago, because BLACK MEN decided to try doing what you WHITE GUYS claim you should be able to do and suddenly YOUR heroes, the NRA, together with our COWBOY governor, Ronald Reagan, passed The Mulford Act.
Gee, wonder why? I know why.
You'll never admit it in a thousand years, but the reason why is, WHITE GUYS were scared ****less at the thought of BLACK GUYS exercising the rights that you think were given to you by God Almighty and the Constitution.

Yes, it IS difficult to get a CCW permit here now. You can thank racist white gun owners for that.
That's NOT partisan hackery at all, it's an inconvenient TRUTH.

But I betcha if I really wanted a CCW I could get one. I'd just have to jump through some hoops, that's all, and if I thought it was really important to me, I'd jump through the hoops and have my CCW.

But I have guns, we have already been through this before. Two of my neighbors have guns, too.
I suspect a bunch of my neighbors have guns, and they're all legal, too.

TD, you are not helping things. In fact, you know what I think? I think you would much rather we NEVER EVER solve this issue, because then you'd have to change your thinking and I don't think that will ever happen. I think you are far happier being pissed off about this issue and believing that liberal states are all about taking away guns.

Hasn't happened here yet.
You just have to be sensible here.
And "HERE" just happens to be one of the most liberal states in the country.
It was THE CONSERVATIVES that screwed things up for us gun owners out here.

Yeah, I'm sick and tired of being exposed to gun violence. Imagine that.

Then move. I have yet to see a single bit of "gun violence" in the area that I live in. Nor in any of the other many many many areas that I have lived in all across the US. There are tons of places that you could live and not once hear that scary pop pop pop noise that got you so frightened.

Why should my rights be infringed just because grown men want to play with guns? Screw that. Ban the son of a bitches.

What rights of yours were violated by hearing some pop pop pop noises? Oh right, none.

Like I said, I knew over a dozen people killed by guns. Perhaps I am a messenger of God.

My right to not have to worry about being shot.

Incorrect, underground manufactured guns are a big business, as are guns stolen from legal owners.
Stolen guns were once in the hands of legal owners. I doubt that many guns are manufactured illegally. I suspect most guns in the hands of criminals were sold to them by some "legal" gun owner.

Guns really are not that hard to make, I build bikes. A bike takes more work than a gun.

You doubt there are many stolen guns?

Check it out, not very hard!

I watched a documentary specifically ABOUT that very thing, and you're 100% R-O-N-G WRONG.

1. I saw Israelis who had to live underground literally, during the late 1940's and they were MANUFACTURING GUNS in a CAVE, and manufacturing the ammo, too.

2. I saw a bunch of FARC rebels who had been living in the jungles for forty years straight. An ELEVEN YEAR OLD BOY MADE a fully functional fully automatic rifle out of SCRAP METAL in a matter of a few hours...in the DAMN jungle!

3. I know two different guys who are machinists who could make a gun for you in a day, just hand them the money.
You want an AK knockoff? No problem. You want a Sig-Sauer style semi-auto pistol? Not a problem.

Guns aren't brain surgery, dude.

But they are rocket science, kinda! If they were brain Surgery, Ben Carson would be the CEO of S&W!

Back when we were teenyboppers my friend and I made a "bang stick" style gun out of a length of pipe and a couple of pieces of plumbing hardware. You could shoot 12 gauge shotgun shells out of it. Later on my friend managed to attach it to an old wooden rifle stock and he fashioned a trigger for it.
We practiced out in his back yard until one day the neighbors got pissed off about it.
He had gotten too serious about it and the Montgomery County cops decided it was time to confiscate his now quite functional "bang stick".
In a strange way, one of them was actually pretty impressed. I could tell.
But there was no way they were going to let him keep it.

I have more right to pursuit of happiness than anyone has to a gun.

Remind me which one of those rights explicitly is part of the constitution and which one isnt

Nope, guns are "Sloppy Mechanics"...and I bet any good hot rodder with some decent tools could make a fairly sophisticated gun.

Simple, your NRA buddies made it so millions of guns are now on the street, making them easier to buy than a joint.

Guns have been around a LOT longer than the NRA. In fact there are less people owning guns now a days than there were just a few short decades ago.

U.S. Gun Ownership Declines

Gun ownership is now back at the low point it reached in 2010: Only 32 percent of Americans own a firearm or live with someone who does, compared with about half the population in the late 1970s and early 1980s, according to the 2014 General Social Survey (GSS). The survey is a project of independent research organization NORC at the University of Chicago, with principal funding from the National Science Foundation.

The poll also found that 22 percent of Americans personally own a firearm, down from a high of 31 percent in 1985. The percentage of men who own a firearm is down from 50 percent in 1980 to 35 percent in 2014, while the number of women who own a gun has remained relatively steady since 1980, coming in at 12 percent in 2014.
