4.1 out of a possible _____ ? That's not at you.
It's at the snowflake parents, administrators, students, BOE and flakey teachers.
Always been a sore spot with me, 4.3 out of 4.0; universities laugh at that crap; as they recalculate their GPA;
Such as 4.11 out of a possible 4.22; then scale down to 3.90 out of 4.00.
We had to go to the cum laude system when students would take less courses to 'win' valedictorian by 0.001 ...
Yep. We AP STEM students were pretty pissed when our ValD was some lib arts schmuck we never heard of before because he wasn't in any of our math and science classes--he wasn't even in Latin or one of the third-year foreign language classes. Hell half of our group were already taking college courses at night at the JC or working coop type paid internships at one of the local automobile manufacturers or their suppliers during our Sr year.
