Lax gun control low gun death country

Gun control reduces gun suicides. No we do not take out some of the gun deaths. That is just silly.

You still don't get it do you? Alright, one more time. Gun control does not reduce suicide it just changes the method.

Actually that is factually incorrect. I am a mental health professional with 25 years experience. And the scientific research is quite clear. The Luca study for example

And yet D.C. has the highest firearms death rate and they have some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.

You seem to think DC has giant walls around it. LOL. National gun control is what we need

You sure make lots of claims. You claim to know all about different cultures in different countries such as Japan, you claim to have been to Mexico many times, and you you claim to be a mental health professional with 25 years under your belt. Do you have credentials to back all that up?

That would never fly. The states are too different from each other and there is way too much variance on each state's outlook on guns.

I sure do. And you are not required to believe a word from me. LOL

Obviously it will reduce gun suicides, but it doesn't reduce suicides across the board. People who want to kill themselves who don't have guns just find other ways, so gun control will not reduce suicide it will just change the method.

Expecting gun control to be a 100% guarantee that all kinds of bizarre gun crimes will disappear is a fool's errand. What we need to significantly reduce are the sudden mass shooting sprees first and foremost, where lunatics walk into schools, churches, sporting events, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, places of employment and open air festivals loaded down with hundreds of rounds and just start mowing down dozens of people with sophisticated high powered weapons.

Address THAT BIG problem, work on THAT BIG problem, first and foremost.
That's the issue which is terrifying millions of Americans, some of them even law abiding gun owners themselves.

We have to face the fact that even if we repealed the Second Amendment entirely (which most Americans do not WANT) and tried to ban guns entirely (which most Americans do not WANT) we would still have a certain amount of gun violence. Armed criminals would still be holding up banks and other businesses, gang members would still be shooting at other gang members (sometimes missing and killing innocent people) deranged husbands would still be shooting their wives, and stupid people would still be taking pot shots at strangers for no known reason.
That's because we have 320 million guns in private hands, and the economic math to make that many guns disappear is not feasible.

It's the number of terrifying mass shooter killing sprees which has exploded in the last twenty years. Used to be it happened so seldom that an entire year could go by where we didn't witness one, but now it's almost one a week.

We can address all kinds of gun violence all kinds of ways but the number one problem is the mass shooter killing spree. This is our number one problem, this is what's damaging our psyche, this is what is striking at the heart of our society and ripping out our souls.

The mass shooter killing spree is what is tearing us apart as a society.

Mass shooters have used "assault weapons", other semiautomatic rifles, semiautomatic shotguns, pump action shotguns, double barrel shotguns, lever action rifles, bolt action rifles, .22 caliber rifles, pistols and revolvers.

Going to ban all of those?

Nope. Just effective gun control

Will that prevent anyone from owning "assault weapons", other semiautomatic rifles, semiautomatic shotguns, pump action shotguns, double barrel shotguns, lever action rifles, bolt action rifles, .22 caliber rifles, pistols and revolvers?

If not, then we'll still have mass shootings.

It sure will prevent some people. And gun deaths will be reduced and lives will be saved. You may not care about that but others do

I guess you can't answer. Not even the top ten.

Why should I answer it? you moved the goalposts. Did you not asked which states have lax gun laws and low deaths? That is the question of the thread and that is the question I'll answer.
