Don't have an education.

When you present a conclusion, you should list your premises and methodology for coming to your conclusion.

What you posted is merely a naked assertion. One that is also patently incorrect as phrased.

There are many highly educated people in all sorts of fields of endeavor who don't like guns. Other's who don't mind guns as long as they are regulated to some extent or another. Several post in our Forum.

I am sure some of those Forum members who choose to respond will freely point this out to you.

However, I think your real point (if I may be so bold to presume) is that such people have not educated themselves about guns.

Not looked into the technology to correctly argue about the weapons in question.

Not looked into the why's and wherefores that cause fellow citizens to choose to own them.

Not looked into the examples where such weapons have done exactly what most citizens own them for; self protection, protection of property, protection of others, sports shooting, hunting, and the ever-present militia purposes.

Not looked into the history of American's support for an individual right to keep and bear arms, it's roots in colonial development, the battle against tyranny, the protection of individual rights.

Had you developed any one of those arguments and THEN posited your conclusion...there would have been room for debate.

You did not...hence my response. :coffeepap:

Not looked into the history of the American so-called "gun obsession," it's roots in colonial development, the battle against tyranny, the protection of individual rights.

The sad truth is, by virtue of the OP's naked assertion, a pointless exercise, he demonstrated his own lack of education. Or, if he was educated, it went in one ear and out the other, as the saying goes.

I don’t like guns. I also don’t like seatbelts. But I use both.

Don't have an education.

I would disagree. but many people who "don't like guns" are more accurately described as not liking the politics and voting patterns of avid gun owners. True, there are some people who don't like guns but its generally not guns specifically but the culture and uses of guns

I like using firearms. I like firearms that allow me to win competitions

I get that, particularly for sport shooters. But for me it is just a tool.

I understand-I have done lots of sports-I was a ranked squash and TT player. Rackets and guns-sort of the same though guns last longer. When I got a better racket, the old one was given away, retired or thrown out in some cases. (wood ones would start cracking and I'd chuck them, graphite ones I'd give to youth programs)

Bait. Pass.
