Condi Rice stuns the view audience with story about 2nd Amendment

"Well regulated" is defined nowhere, but the power to arm, discipline and organize the militia is specifically granted to Congress in Article 1, Section 8. By default, any laws that Congress pass regarding the arms, discipline and organization of the militia create a "well regulated militia". You may disagree with the level of regulation, and if so, you should write your Congresscritter.

Discipline, is wellness of regulation. Only the right wing, is clueless and Causeless, by custom and habit.

The wellness of regulation of the militia is whatever Congress, and only Congress, says that it is. Unless you don't believe in the Constitution.

tell that to the right wing; they are the ones who appeal to ignorance of it, every time it comes up. just ask them.

The pro-gun people here fully understand both the power of Congress enumerated in Article 1, Section 8 and the restrictions on the federal government outlined by the Bill of Rights. It's the lefties that don't seem to understand the difference.

And I'd bet the pro-gun people would love for Congress to muster the militia - for us, it's a weekend shooting up someone else's ammo, and since the law says "all men 18-45", even the anti-gun people will have to show up for the muster. You don't have to own a gun to be in the militia, but there will be plenty of KP and field latrines to dig at the musters.

Yea, nice story if real. What we do know is very real indeed, is that likewise. When Iran saw what happened to Iraq

because they didn't have nukes and what hasn't happened to NK because they do...Iran has a sovereign right to have nukes.

If you do not agree and for almost any reason, then you must believe that the Brady bill was very necessary.

let's muster until the crime rate goes down. i don't mind getting to know, my local heavy weapons section.

he certainly doesn't believe in the use of standard English

any quote of our Second Amendment, clearly states it is well regulated militia that are Necessary to the security of a free State. The Unorganized militia is nowhere declared Necessary.

So, then, the word you are searching for is, "No".

It's interesting that you are so certain that the Second Amendment says something completely unsupported by more than 200 years of case law and legal study.

You must be some kind of a genius.

For your convenience and education:

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

Interestingly, even at that time, there were discussions on where or if commas should be left in or taken out of the text.

Disagreeing with the idea is not proving that the idea is legally unauthorized. You have a good, long way to go in proving your case. In this case, the Feds are restrained in attempts to disarm citizens.

How can they be "real" wars when the right wing refuses to pay for them with real, wartime tax rates?

Is that a serious question, or a joke?

They are real wars when real men wage them, when real human blood is spilled, when real homes are destroyed, etc etc. I hope that's not too difficult for you to grasp.

We resort to Capitalism, allegedly for the market based metrics.

from the perspective of some on the left, right wing public policy merely helps the rich get richer faster; that is all.

Her story is totally possible, but it's still anecdotal. There are 1000 good and bad things that happen with guns every day in America, but that's not how we form policy in this country.

Right now we're trying to figure out how to stop school massacres, something that has been happening ever since Condi was a child back in the 60's. We have a history of this that has never really been fully addressed because up until now the frequency of incidents has been tolerable.

What is the frequency of school massacres? How many mass shootings with "assault weapons" have happened in the last 20 years?

lol. That is why, nobody takes the right wing seriously about natural rights.

I heard returning Viet Nam Vets quoting the drill instructors as saying something like:

This is my weapon
This is my gun.
This one's for fighting.
This one's for fun.

Is that how the topic you introduce is connected to the second amendment?

I don't really understand how you made the leap.

You either keep up with your alleged Cause, or you make up stories.
