So how many rounds can a deer rifle fire in a minute?

About 10 rounds per minute for a typical bolt-action rifle (assuming that you include time to re-aim). Is that what you meant by a "deer rifle"?

So if you can only kill one deer at a time why do you need this king of rifle? I’m trying to understand why we repealed the 1994 ban on assault weapons. It was proven that mass shootings went down during that time.

there is no proof that the gun ban had any impact and firearms crimes declined after the ban went away. do you even have a clue what the ban actually did and did not do?

I think you have gone off track

at what point does a private citizen become untrustworthy to own a firearm based on how fast it can shoot?

It seems that when the assault weapon ban of 1994 was repealed it led to more mass shootings. I’m not against all guns. I actually went to a shooting range when I was younger, but it wasn’t something I wanted to make a hobby of.

the gun ban had no impact on mass shootings.

the gun ban had no impact on mass shootings.

It seems it depends on what you read. I have seen articles that claim it did have an impact. But, I am just trying to understand this whole mass shooting epidemic that seems to have increased in the past decade. It is extremely distressing and everyone is looking for blame. Blame is a mechanism that is used to cope especially when children are involved. And now everyone is angry rather than just sad. Have a nice evening. I have to go.

you too, SYL

So how many rounds can a deer rifle fire in a minute?

Depends on the deer rifle and its action. ...

but a standard bolt action could fire and be accurate.. which is the key.. not "rounds fired per minute".. roughly 30 to 40 rounds per minute.

that's hitting a 12 inch target at 300 yards.

So we need to limit actions to prevent mass killings?

no.. because its not how many rounds you can fire in a minute that matters.. its accuracy that matters when it comes to killing.

And quite frankly when it comes to preventing mass killings. over 20 years of research show that focusing on the firearm has no effect. Dealing with the shooter, and the area in which they shoot is what shows can have a positive impact.

I don't know, but I should be able to have whatever our police and military carry.

Jason A Ward Guns 101 in under 2 minutes

"mean bullet", "only shoots dear" lol

I love it

no man should be denied the same weaponry that his state is willing to use against him

Civilian police officers' firearms are clearly protected by the second amendment. So is the standard infantry weapon of the national guard. once we exceed those firearms capability, then we can talk. but since the police are not military, and can only use firearms when there is a credible threat of severe bodily harm, their engagement rights are no different than other civilians

Weapons used by the military are military weapons

The A-bomb is one.

MY VIEW is this-if CIVILIAN police use a firearm, then the employing governmental body may not claim that said weapons have no legitimate use for civilians within the jurisdiction of that governmental entity.
